Moon fragments - what to do with them?

Hi,
i am trying to figure out what to do with the moon fragments. i have to can 5 of them, found one next to my main station. But i can't click on it and there seems to be no button.
Any idea?

Did you ever figure out what to do with them? How did you find them? I am stuck scanning the planet in vain. Do you think I need to rescan sectors?
