Middle game is a huge boring slog
This started off interesting enough but the whole young adult phase is awful. Slow tedious family politics and government politics where you don't have any real choices. You might be presented with 5 but can only click one which should never happen in a game like this. Plus it takes like 20 events to pass one year. It just killed any momentum the game had.

This is the kind of game you should want to replay to see all the different paths but no one in their right mind would do it more than once because at this rate it'll take 30 hours for one playthrough.

In youth you can do a lot of interesting things.

Are you kidding me this is like the best part you can do a lot but the game reminds the position your in.

Actually i wished there was more explore the world and city choices in between if you want to of course or just keep progressing the story. But i understand there is a lot of branching to do for different main paths so it make sense they didn't have a lot of side stories or exploring choices. But i am interested in replaying it once i finish my first play (i wonder if we can go back to a certain chapter to restart?) Maybe if the game sells well enough they can add more writers for a sequel or presequel and have more side stories and world building etc.

Huh? Young adult is where the game finally gets interesting and opens up. It's the first two chapters that are boring and restrictive. Young adult is the chapter where you literally decide your path in life and meet a bunch of important characters.

the problem with young adult is that it sets you up to where you are in the last important chapter, which for players that want a specific scenario in mind. the young adult just becomes a optimization obstacles that you need to sink needless time in to.

i agree this is not good design it artificially increase the play time of the game, the player should get to choose how much time he want to spend on the game and not forced to do loop again and again.

That's why chapter restarts are a thing....

I agree that it is frustrating when you want to make a specific choice, and you are only allowed one "choice" out of "x" many because somehow you haven't met the necessary conditions (I think this should be made easier).

I had like, three different characters (two from the demo), and I confused myself when I had been trudging along in one story line with one character, and I wasn't happy with the outcome, and decided to try a different character, and it started where I'd left off from the demo, and I forgot who I'd gone back to try and work with, and later on I made some choices and one "ended" with a lesser death, which from the character I'd first been working with in the full story had two lesser deaths already and I was expecting it to say this was the third, and the next time would be the true death, but it instead said that this was only the second lesser death. I was so confused and thought the game had gone wonky. Then later on I noticed someone calling the main character by a different name than I remembered and was like, "Wait, wtf???" and then realized what I'd done.

And yes, you can go back and restart a chapter from the beginning so long as they've been saved. Meaning, I believe you have to manually exit to the main menu so that the game saves, and then you can start over from the beginning of the chapter if you want, or continue on where you last left off. It comes in quite handy when you're unhappy with one or more choices you made.

and that is why we are not complain about chapter 1 2 and 3 but chapter 4 is really long and complex you don't want to restart it again and agin,
