Crash when starting up game

I've tried uninstall/reinstall, verifying, and performed an anti-virus scan.

We're getting reports on reddit too about this issue, i'll sound the alarm to the team thanks for the warning !

Exception access violation is a very common crash. It means the program/game tried to access some crucial piece of memory but failed. The problem is very generic and so there isn't a single easy fix. Try these:

1. Make sure your PC specs, especially GPU and RAM meets the minimum requirements.
At least 16 GB RAM and Nvidia GTX 1080 (8GB) or AMD RX VEGA 56
2. Add -dx11 to the launch options.
3. Update your OS and your graphics card drivers.
4. Run PAYDAY 3 as administrator.
5. Adding your steam games to your anti-virus or anti-malware exception list.
6. Set your graphics settings to default.

Same problem, I've noticed a few others on these forums + on the PD discord with this issue, no troubleshooting has worked, not even reinstalling windows.

Its even affecting console players.

Make sure to only have these files in
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\PAYDAY3\PAYDAY3\Binaries\Win64

EOSSDK-Win64-Shipping.dll
libScePad.dll
OpenImageDenoise.dll
PAYDAY3Client-Win64-Shipping.exe
tbb12.dll

If there is a folder called "Mods" and/or other files consider to delete it :)

Actually, i've got a question for everybody here: did you use mods when encountering this crash ? The circumstances and timing makes it weird but it could be a possibility too.

I get this type of crash from time to time, once every month or so, it's very rare for me. I play with no mods.

Apparently you can contact SB_Elisabeth on Discord or Reddit to get it fixed manually.

OR just wait for the apparent incoming hotfix. I'll give the Elisabeth strat a go and update when I can.

I got the error too. Tried deleting cache, updating drivers, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling the game, running as administrator, turning off firewall, everything. Still nothing. And no I don't use mods. I'll reinstall again if there's a fix for this.

No, the game just crashed and it simply stopped starting; deleting all existing files related to the game does not help. The problem is on the server side, nothing else, but this happened to me personally during the days of double experience, in time it was 12 at night UTC +3
