Edit 2: Dear developers and forum mods, I wish all the best for this game, please see this list as constructive criticism. I will remove insults and inappropriate words, however I can't control the comment section.

Why is this abandoned by OP?
Either the devs or forum mods have temporarily removed this post. This thread was meant to be a helpful list made by the community to improve the game and create what Payday 3 should've been. But the temporary removal showed me that they are not willing to listen...
If they don't bother, I don't too. :C

- Nebula Account required to play the game
- You can't pause while playing solo
- You are required to play always online
- Statistics regarding certain heists are missing (for example, how often did I complete a certain heist, did I complete it loud or stealth?)
- The heist itself doesn't immediately indicate if it's meant to be played loud or stealth. (The ghost icon from Payday 2 is missing here)
- You can't give your chosen loadout a name
- The UI could be better (especially the mission select screen). While I'm aware you can disable the story sequences there, this only improves things slightly.
- The HUD is lifeless and doesn't look interesting
- No Pre-Planning-Phase before starting a mission
- You can't skip the mission intro
- You can't yell at civilians who are already on the floor to intimidate them further
- The ping system is annoying. You ping far to much unwanted stuff with it.
- You can't yell at civilians while they are tied up running towards you
- You can't body bag dead bodies (this is especially problematic because moving dead bodies out of sight is harder to control if its not a body bag)
- Not enough time to answer a radio imo
- 2D sprites of NPCs standing near windows of buildings you can't enter are a no go
- You can't use the numpad on your keyboard for entering numbers on the numpad ingame to enter a code or something else (in other games such as Deus Ex or System Shock (Remake) this was possible) I like this feature in said games, makes them more immersive
- no voice chat
- I don't like that you can point at guards with your physical hand while being unmasked. I mean, just imagine someone pointing at you irl and saying "There is a guard." out loud. Its immersion breaking.
- I don't like that bots are able to detect cameras through walls and ping them for you
- I don't like that the chat appears - even while playing solo - if I ping stuff

- Can't change weapon mods in a lobby
- Can't 'Unready', which makes you unable to change equipment once committed.
- No way to regain armor chunks without the armor bag, while it's possible to regain ammo and HP without ammo - & doctor bags.
- Snipers get spawned in duos way too often and in general get spawned too often
- Assault rifles are bad

- can only jump over or grab onto walls thats basically waist height or lower, sometimes wont work on a chest tall or shoulder tall wall (talking specificall for the ramp spawn on road kill where there are stacked barrel which looked like you can jump over the fence by getting on top of the stacked barrel but nope)
- no notification on leveling up of what you unlocked, QoL
- no driving mechanic that was once considered revolutionary over in pd2 in its game
- no easy add friend option after game ends or at all during game?
- no neatly grouped skill icons which build is medic, ammo bag, sentry build, ghost/ecm for convenience for those who are familiar already with the skill tree in pd2 and too lazy to re read
- doctor bags dont heal to full hp on pickup
- ammo bags also dont resupply fully on pickup
- pickup range on dropped ammo feels smaller youd have to go around pickup things 2-3x on a straight hallway
- also ammo from dropped boxes feels less?
- hitbox on button to close shutters in bank feels like 1 pixel? (i guess its just for show on demo and forgot to remove or something cause ive never seen anyone actually using the close shutter button lol)
- same button for shouting / marking
- probably need a tooltip somewhere "space" to close lockpick/safepicking minigame just because safe is a weird button instead of pressing interact again to close it
- marking civ only work when mask on during stealth mode? (not sure on this one has only tried stealth once)

- they took away the card system at the end of successful heists, which was so awesome
- the progression is right out of cod but somehow worse
- crimenet is gone
- no packages or stuff to find throughout the map

- Assault In Progress bar is boring compared to the bright yellow scrolling one from PD2!
- Initial release heists are somewhat dull and samey, too many identical objectives
- No multi day heists
- No escape sections
- Paintings are bagged into a loot bag and not a scroll bag, boo, hiss!
- UI is troublesome and often counter intuitive
- Bulldozers aren't green (that I have seen) and look like they've been on a diet
- Preplanning and favours seem a little strange / bugged? Also very minimal
- Keybindings are whack, one button for many (different) things, confusing
- Vaulting replaces jumping so navigating feels less free and flexible
- Game feels a little low energy, voice lines are a bit tired, maybe too realistic
- Not much OOMPH when completing objectives / securing bags / picking up loot
- Can't change reticle into a single dot, no laser sights either I think?
- Can't change van skin? Stuck with ugly black and red OVERKILL paintjob?
- Bars instead of accurate numeric information for weapon stats
- Suits are locked behind really high levels, other outfits look quite ugly (opinion)
- VERY noticable lack of masks, patterns and materials compared to Payday 2
- Honestly feels like masks aren't an important thing anymore
- Dropping dead bodies is awkward, hard to hide in corners, sometimes fly away
- UI is just globo-corpo bland, and oversized for PC users, just ugly and soulless
- Text chat is very plain, no individual player colours and messages
- No Locomotive 12G, or Concrete Saw? Why live!? :steamsad:
- No shaped charges, I miss C4, it would be fun for loud heists
- Can't board up windows I think? Just close shutters.
- Can't crouch jump through windows, gotta do some weird vault which can "miss"
- No metal detectors?
- Primary weapons show up when purchasing weapons from the secondary slot
- Cutting glass cases, glass windows etc is painful on mouse and keyboard
- Zooming in with cameras takes a million years, is very slow, on mouse and keyboard
- Arbitrary rules between masked up / unmasked and certain objectives / pickups
- Can't disable bots
- Getting cuffed in stealth sometimes causes bots to go loud
- When downed, only one bot can revive you even if two bots stand nearby
- Wolf looks like he's joined Stormfront and become a hobo, what happened?

- Having to complete a heist a 150 times is not a challenge its suicide.
- Completing all heists for a total of 1200 times is not a challenge its suicide+
- virtually no ways to play as an explosives expert. the piglet sucks, and there is only one lethal grenade type.
- no reason to grind money beyond getting c-stacks
- no reason to get c-stacks besides buying crappy preset weapons and charms
- level specific favors seemingly appear at random and you cant see how to get more of them.

- No stealth bar, you can't get lower stealth you're just stuck with it.
So customizing barely has a point to it for people that only play stealth

- No ammo types? With the emphasis on armour you'd think there would be AP / FMJ / HP
- Skills feel arcadey despite the game trying to be less whacky and more gritty and real
- Combat / loud skills seem heavily based on keeping short lived status effects active
- Critically important: only male pole dancers in the nightclub? I demand equality!
- No highlights for dropped ammo, I think. Or thrown knives etc.
- Deployable can't be cancelled (I think) so if you hit the hotkey then whoops sorry
- Can't unequip armour, weakest but fastest one isn't available from the start, weird
- No ICTV, I think? Haven't actually gone deep into the "Tank" tree.
- Researching skill "trees" seems pointless? You have to level them up anyway so why?
- No random collectibles? I miss GAGE packages, they were fun little diversions
- Sam Fisher Cloaker > Swamp Thing Ghillienet Cloaker (fact)
- Painting your guns "properly" is locked behind high level and C-Coins which is mean
- Poor loot variety? Money, coke, art, where's the gold, guns, meth, etc?
- Can't customise scope / sights images and colours, I think
- Where's my Rainbow Six drone? If the game has Ford Ecosports, it should have drones
- Payday 2 had flying drones! Where's my flying drone? Damn you Starbreeze!
- Can't peak under doors or use a snake cam which bothers me for some reason
- Can't lean! Argh! Armour doesn't regen now but you have to expose yourself to shoot
- It still falls prey to being a "bag moving simulator" especially in solo play
- Not a lot of relevant info appears when you press TAB, not even secured loot
- No option to hide objectives (I think) or put them in the TAB menu instead
- Assets / favours you buy at the bottom of the gun shop don't show how many you have

-You can only have 1 intimidated/tied swat at a time but this is not displayed on HUD anywhere, no way to tell if they're still tied or if they were released (aside from physically checking on them)

- If you press "R" to hide the story sequences, its not saved anywhere and you have to do it again after every game restart. If you finished the story, you will rarely watch those again so why does it reset.

- C-stacks are a massive pain to get with the weekly reset
- Most outfits/gloves are just pallet swaps of each other even though they require massive

- too few levels for the base game
- AI bots are terrible (pathing to come heal you is awful, they die themselves way too often as well. I think payday 2 bots where better in almost every way.)
- less pagers just because of a higher difficulty makes stealth not worth it considering the payouts for time invested.
- no dodge so you almost have no choice, but to equip the heaviest armor and hope it holds out.
- Lastly, no comedic large spoon melee weapon

More "numbers".
Give me details infos for my weapon stats, for my armor stat, even for my hp.
The weapon stats are only bars. No real infos what a weapon mod will change.
Why is there no armor and speed number next to the different armor?

It would be easier to have an eye for everything that is important for MYself.

- No way to join a random room based on difficulty like you could in Payday 2.
- Only way to level up your character level is to do Challenges and once you're nearing the top, challenges starts to slow down as they take longer and longer to complete for basically the same amount of experience. This means it takes longer and longer between skills points and we don't even know what level we get he skills points.
- Menu's are completely bland compared to Payday 2.
- Enemies take WAY too many shots if you don't land all headshots which is easier said than done since they are always moving/staggering/ducking which makes you miss and waste ammo.
- Half the skills are so useless you wonder if the devs put them in there just to make it looks like you have more options than you really do. Like why do I need skills to intimidate civs when I have infinite zip ties now? How come there isn't a skill to make "hacking" go faster when standing in the circles or someone's phone? Trying to solo 99 Boxes is a nightmare since you have to stand in 10 different circles and hack 2 different phones way across the map.
- You feel like you have to build to be able to gain Edge, Rush, and Grit, but when you're in the heat of things you can't pay attention to the bars and they end up falling off which can ruins some of your skills.
- Doing takedowns feels completely pointless with how long they take to do. Everyone is going to have one weapon with a silencer on it and it's much faster to just shoot people.
- Melee does absolutely NOTHING! It does no damage at all and have never seen it kill anyone. Why even have it in the game at this point? It's suppose to be there to help us conserve ammo or finish off enemies we have already weakened, but does literally nothing.
- SMG's have 100 less reserve ammo compared to assault rifles which makes no sense since they are aready weaker than assault riles so why give them 33% less overall ammo as well? Dead weapon category.
- The last assault rifle is missing 100 reserve ammo like all the other assault rifles have.
- No automatic sidearms even though we have a Glock, but can't mod it to be full auto.

- Awful gunplay
- The ONLY way to get your Infamy LVL xp is to complete challenges what is [removed]
- Enemies tank too much damage if shoot below their heads
- Can't chat during prep phase so you can't ask loud or stealth
- You need to press chat button 2 times (cause first press opens a chat window and 2nd unlocks your inputs to write in a chat)
- Why can't climb through window during civ mode? It can be just an illegal action
- You can ping only 1 person/object at the same time

Why cant i for instance on the Battle challenges filter by weapon type for instance or by NPCs to kill like give us please more filter options instead of going through 68 pages to look what i have to do with a specific weapon or NPC
- The 2nd Point that i like to add is why didnt we get the Heist Browser ? Its so hard to find ppl in a heist so maybe give us a heist browser or give us an option for "Quick Que on a Specific Difficulty,Loud or Ghost"

- Dead drops handled horribly, you have to buy uses for them at the vendor menu at the bottom of the guns section.
- Suit variety, there's like 4 different suits just recolored about 6 times each.
- Level grinding, XP seems to practically exclusively tied to challenges and the heists themselves give little to no XP for completion.

- "skills" are mostly small variable changes that make little impact (grifter/hacker seem ok)
- when stealthing if a civ catches you and starts to run away if they get a certain range away all UI is gone and will automatically after 10 secondish will fail stealth
- stealthing on missions with main doors you cant cable tie shut. so while you can close the blinds to stop other civs from seeing many will come in and instantly ruin the run.
- No or lackluster UI updates on many things: bag collections, new wave assaults, current civs, current guards ect.(coming from the popular mod on pd2 it feels plain)
- highlighted objects sometimes show though walls but are un-interactable
- WAY too many guards and limitations for stealth on over kill. (try the last mission if someone can do it you are a god).
- when you are alerted that you are going to be arrested its RNG if you will be able to put your mask on before a shot it fired forcing a restart.
- WAY too many small, long interactions (put down drill part 3 times, start drill, take drill oxygen off, put drill oxygen on. disassemble drill). These steps are just on example but you get shot in the back all while doing this and your basically dead.
- AI, Oh how i miss better bots.
- no joker.
- for a game now claiming more realism, these guards have got to stop landing on the pager button

- The HUD doesn´t show how much ammo your teammates have.
- [Bots] you can´t customize them anymore.
- [Referring to point above] I know that because I had to play half the Heists either alone or with 1 other guy (thanks matchmaking bug).
- Also damage drop off for guns is way to agressive, I know there´s skills for that but I shouldn´t need to dumb half a magazine into a guy because he stands like 20m away from me.

- Arbitrary locks on everything. Why are 90% of the customization options locked behind levels? The only level-locked things in PD2 were guns, and skill points. There's so much less freedom by comparison to PD2's launch.
- Game forces you to "research" skill trees, and then forces you to use at least the basic perk in that tree in order to unlock more skills in it. If the game wasn't already enough of a grind, now you're FORCED to take skills you do not want in your build, in order to unlock more? What happened to just playing the game and being able to put skill points anywhere?
- Why can't I play the game the way I want to, in order to level up/get unlocks? [Big one.]
- Far too grindy. I feel it's due to the devs being insecure about the lack of content, so they make it an absolute crawl to actually level up in order for it to take absolutely forever for people to say they've "experienced everything". Quality > Quantity.
- Add a basic XP system like PD2. The more loot you secure/objectives you complete, the more XP you get. Challenges should just be a bonus addition to your XP gains.
- Weapon levels are miserably grindy. Remove them. It doesn't work. I don't want to have to grind to unlock the weapon, then be forced to USE that weapon in combat, in order to gain XP for the weapon itself, just so I can get a suppressor on it. That's ridiculous. It's like they didn't even test it.
- Current XP system is also just needlessly obtuse. Not only does it not make any sense, but you need to go out of your way to NOT complete heists, in order to gain weapon XP and challenge XP. You're somehow better off by staying around and killing cops to level up your guns and challenges. Like, what???
- Was hoping for a 3rd weapon slot dedicated to a melee weapon. 4th slot can be your Overkill weapon. Imagine being able to have a dedicated Berzerker playstlye, where you can regenerate health by getting melee kills with a katana, or whatever other melee weapon, like a bat.
- Enemies are far too spongy on every difficulty. I did not expect CoD or Rainbow 6, I expected Payday. So, the meta has quickly become using the M14 as the primary, instead of using any gun you'd like.
- NO COMBAT REGEN???? I think the Plate Up ammo skill is broken, armor doesn't seem to get restored at all by ammo packs, but the description makes it sound like it'd be the only combat regen skill in the game. I question if the devs even played Payday 2.
- Also, where the hell is Locke?????

there are not enough masks and the masks we have are bad. IKf u find a good mask u can use 4 patterns to change it. Remember the menu we had in pd 2 for it ? how did we end up with this [removed].

- Getting detected by Guards inside the Club while unmasked in "Rock The Cradle" on OVERKILL difficulty. How could they possibly know you are the only uninvited person among dozens of partying people?

- 8 Heists, of those 3 have about the complexity of ukrainian job and 1 is just somehow a worse version of the armored transport heists. (I have to addmit I only actually played those 4 till now but damn this paints a bad picture for the rest of them)
- NO HOSTAGE COUNTER, and that in the game that makes those more valuable than ever
- No way to get cops as hostages (good luck recovering on higher difficulties if lil timmy threw a grenade in the room with all the hostages)

- Important information isn't highlighted enough, objective markers blend into the environment and are too small in general, some critically important things dont get marked or highlighted no matter what happens (like the safe in the museum)

-While playing stealth, the mission items/rooms/camera placement/codes are not changed when you restart, so unless you re launch the heist from the menu, you can speedrun the thing knowing where everything is. Payday2 had all of those things randomized when restarting.

- Location of items and vaults don't move around like in some missions in PD2.
- Weight of the items don't slow you down like they did in PD2.
- Art isn't stolen in a tube (like how art is suppose to be transported) like it was in PD2.
- Can't hide bodies in dumpsters like in PD2, but with the ability to move any body it doesn't matter anymore.

- One of my big gripes is I can't take the chat wheel off of the shout bind.
I just want to bind the game like PD2 with F being the universal 'shout and interact' button but now whenever I hold the button to do something a wheel comes up and I spam canned lines.

- The DMR does not one-shot snipers with headshots (at least in my experience).
- SMGs are kind of useless in terms of loud, and why bring them in stealth when any pistol will suffice
- No custom heist track (that I could find)
- Challenges force people who only want to play loud to play stealth and vise versa
- Page[r]s do not go off in the order in which you killed the guards.
- No bag throwing skills
- Starting your own invite only lobby usually involves waiting ~1 minute to find your own server.

- It damages the player more than anything else.
- Can't even swap it out because tedious to pick it back up.
- Why are there only two Overkill weapons at launch?! Where are all the PD2 weapon like the minigun or a bow even? Get creative ppl.

People are welcome to have feedback and criticisms, it's when it becomes flamebait or 'jester farming' as some call it, it can become an issue. We've no problem with this thread staying up, and if anything it's quite a useful repository for people to see to make their own opinions or whatnot about the game if they come here. If someone says they dislike the game and can explain why without insults or trying to instigate other users, it's not a problem to be up. But if a user wants to do swear-filled rants or simply say something is bad without saying why, it doesn't present much of an argument.

They are not missing, They are just hidden away in the challenges section. Inconvenient but yeah they are tracked there.

-Can't change weapon mods in a lobby
-Can't 'Unready', which makes you unable to change equipment once committed.
-Loot doesn't show value
-No way to regain armor chunks without the armor bag, while it's possible to regain ammo and HP without ammo - & doctor bags.
-Snipers get spawned in duos way too often and in general get spawned too often
-Assault rifles are bad

-can only jump over or grab onto walls thats basically waist height or lower, sometimes wont work on a chest tall or shoulder tall wall (talking specificall for the ramp spawn on road kill where there are stacked barrel which looked like you can jump over the fence by getting on top of the stacked barrel but nope)
-no notification on leveling up of what you unlocked, QoL
-no driving mechanic that was once considered revolutionary over in pd2 in its game
-no easy add friend option after game ends or at all during game?
-no neatly grouped skill icons which build is medic, ammo bag, sentry build, ghost/ecm for convenience for those who are familiar already with the skill tree in pd2 and too lazy to re read
-doctor bags dont heal to full hp on pickup
-ammo bags also dont resupply fully on pickup
-pickup range on dropped ammo feels smaller youd have to go around pickup things 2-3x on a straight hallway
-also ammo from dropped boxes feels less?
-hitbox on button to close shutters in bank feels like 1 pixel? (i guess its just for show on demo and forgot to remove or something cause ive never seen anyone actually using the close shutter button lol)
-same button for shouting / marking
-probably need a tooltip somewhere "space" to close lockpick/safepicking minigame just because safe is a weird button instead of pressing interact again to close it
-marking civ only work when mask on during stealth mode? (not sure on this one has only tried stealth once)

-they took away the card system at the end of successful heists, which was so awesome
-the progression is right out of cod but somehow worse
-crimenet is gone
-no packages or stuff to find throughout the map

- Assault In Progress bar is boring compared to the bright yellow scrolling one from PD2!
- Initial release heists are somewhat dull and samey, too many identical objectives
- No multi day heists
- No escape sections
- Paintings are bagged into a loot bag and not a scroll bag, boo, hiss! :steamthumbsdown:
- UI is troublesome and often counter intuitive
- Bulldozers aren't green (that I have seen) and look like they've been on a diet
- Preplanning and favours seem a little strange / bugged? Also very minimal
- Keybindings are whack, one button for many (different) things, confusing
- Vaulting replaces jumping so navigating feels less free and flexible
- Game feels a little low energy, voice lines are a bit tired, maybe too realistic
- Not much OOMPH when completing objectives / securing bags / picking up loot
- Can't change reticle into a single dot, no laser sights either I think?
- Can't change van skin? Stuck with ugly black and red OVERKILL paintjob?
- No melee weapons
- Bars instead of accurate numeric information for weapon stats
- Suits are locked behind really high levels, other outfits look quite ugly (opinion)
- VERY noticable lack of masks, patterns and materials compared to Payday 2
- Honestly feels like masks aren't an important thing anymore
- Dropping dead bodies is awkward, hard to hide in corners, sometimes fly away
- UI is just globo-corpo bland, and oversized for PC users, just ugly and soulless
- Always online stuff will never be a good feature, ever, except for an MMO
- Text chat is very plain, no individual player colours and messages
- No Locomotive 12G, or Concrete Saw? Why live!? :steamsad:
- No shaped charges, I miss C4, it would be fun for loud heists
- Can't board up windows I think? Just close shutters.
- Can't crouch jump through windows, gotta do some weird vault which can "miss"
- No metal detectors?
- No proper distinction between primary or secondary weapons when buying
- Primary weapons show up when purchasing weapons from the secondary slot
- Cutting glass cases, glass windows etc is painful on mouse and keyboard
- Zooming in with cameras takes a million years, is very slow, on mouse and keyboard
- Arbitrary rules between masked up / unmasked and certain objectives / pickups
- Can't break into ATMs or saw them open, can't open tills to grab loot within
- Can't disable bots
- Getting cuffed in stealth sometimes causes bots to go loud
- When downed, only one bot can revive you even if two bots stand nearby
- Wolf looks like he's joined Stormfront and become a hobo, what happened?

Disclaimer: there are also plenty of good things this game does, such as making camera loops last permanently and can be applied from a distance...but this is a thread for things we hope they'll change some day!

- The heist itself doesn't immediately indicate if it's meant to be played loud or stealth.

do u play on mute, it tells u that u can either go loud or quit listen to the new lady she tells u what chouices u have to do heists

-Having to complete a heist a 150 times is not a challenge its suicide.
-Completing all heists for a total of 1200 times is not a challenge its suicide+
-virtually no ways to play as an explosives expert. the piglet sucks, and there is only one lethal grenade type.
-no reason to grind money beyond getting c-stacks
-no reason to get c-stacks besides buying crappy preset weapons and charms
-music actually feels like a step down from payday 2.
-level specific favors seemingly appear at random and you cant see how to get more of them.
