Does this game have a future? how long will it be supported?
I don't want to jump into the game knowing it will be cancelled soon... do you think this game will be supported for long time to come? and will player base be large enough to find games at all times? Thanks!

well we'll see what first update in 2025 will bring then we decide if this game will stay alive longer or not

I seriously doubt that they'll make a comeback, they already have significantly less investment and staff, and the updates are so far from each other with minimal content...Worst case scenario it'll get cancelled this year, best case maybe next year.

Starbreeze confirmed there would be "Significantly reduced investment" into the game as the D&D game takes development priority, soooooooooooo
it looks very grim as of right now, hopes are probably at the lowest ever.
It does, looks good from here
probably dead by the end of 2025
don't buy

I would bet money the game will either be pulled 2025, or announced it will be pulled 2025.

this next update changes the armor system (something players complained about a ton) so we'll see how that does.........in february. hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.
If there's no Year 2 road map by the end of March - it's over for good. The signs that Starbreeze are prepared to ditch PAYDAY 3 are there.

Almir actually said on stream that they don`t have a roadmap for 2025, because they don`t want to put pressure on the team...which is pathetic if you ask me...so now nobody knows whats coming, even the starbreeze partners.

So, in other words, Payday 3 is deemed a failure and is done. Come on, there's a reason why there isn't a roadmap for 2025...
Too early into Year 2 to say. It doesn't look good right now, but if the updates are moderately successful there could be a future for the game.

Bruh, they barely did anything in year 1.

Think of how little they will accomplish with a smaller team and “significantly decreased investment”.
