If you are buying it just buy gold edition. But also beware that the steam version seems to have performance issues on some PCs for some reason.

From what I've been seeing by looking around, no. I haven't touched the game since last Oct bc it's been such a mess. Just roll with Payday 2, it's superior in every way.

no, absolutely not. they ruined everything good about the game from Payday 2 and made it into live service slop for no reason other than to collect data and make you not use mods to add features -- so they could do that -- but they don't... cause the game is dead and on life support.

and since it's live service, a SOLO PLAYER GAME that is forced live service, they can simply shut down servers and you can't play your SINGLE PLAYER GAME any more

as someone with over a hundred hours into payday three id argue that the gold edition is a steal. every single weapons pack has had at least one s tier weapon added, dlc 2 and dlc 3 had 2 s tier weapons and a solid a tier weapon.

As for the content thats been added since launch. 7 heists, 3 free, 4 paid.
14 new weapons, 12 paid, 2 free (LMG, and the mac 10 smg)
1 new overkill weapon (minigun)
two free returning heisters (clover and houston)
so many free cosmetics and masks I legit cant count.
4 new skill lines (assassin, transporter fortitude, and scrambler)
added the shock grenade and the tripwire

there is just a lot to play with now.
if you dont want to drop for gold I do think base is now worth the money especially at the discount its at right now, but id say to just spend the 35$ and get the gold and get everything the game has to offer. The key highlight is that aside from houston breakout, the paid heists are the best heists in the game bar none.

If you spent full price on Space Marine 2 and found 50 hours of playtime sufficient for a positive review.

You played Warframe for 1000 hours and found it worthy of a negative review.

The real question is what is less than $40 USD worth to you for a chance to play the sequel? If you already played Payday 2 and haven't found enough reason to review it you should know that it will likely always be the product that offers more of the two but Payday 3 will always be newer.

It's a recommended from me and if your budget is low then $16 sale for the base game right now on steam is amazing in my opinion, lots of fun to be had if you like both stealth and loud. You can always add more dlc later or add the gold pass which is also on sale. So if you buy and like it you can add the gold pass before the sale ends. Best is of course gold straight away but not everyone can do that, that is why I still say that the base game has a lot of fun to be had for that attractive price.

Yes get the base game to start with, it is a good deal and many hours of fun. The cry babys who complains about cost now when it is dirt cheap is just silly.
