Do you think Payday 3 will be supported for long time to come?
I really want to put hours into this game but im afraid it might not be supported longer

Should I invest my time in Payday 3 or Payday 2 instead?

No. I've said in other threads that I don't see PD3 making it to 2026. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

Put your time in Payday 2.

play the game if you enjoy it. we know the game will be supported through this year, after that is unknown.
depends if armor 2.0 and the skill system rework fixes the games problems. those are 2 of the massive issues.

payday 2 duh
i want the game to succeed so so so bad but idek if it will there needs to be a miracle.
Eh, nope.
If you enjoy this game then you might as well enjoy it before it's too late. It really doesn't look like it'll be around much longer, I've seen live service games close down with playercounts PAYDAY3 could only dream of.
To those who own Payday 3: Try to enjoy it while you still can.
To the others: Payday 3 can not be recommended. It will almost certainly be dropped before long and there is absolutely zero evidence that they give a damn about the game being playable when it happens.

Pd2 is already a done game pd3 is going slowly like pd2 you dont have Patience like a true fans
I think if you like PD3, play it.
When they fix the armor and skill, when they add new heist and weapons, when they add a lot of achievements and finally when they add endgame content - the game will be even better.
But even now the game is fun, but there is nothing to do more than 100 hours in it
Seems like you already own both, so you might as well play both if you like them
Up to you bro, don't listen to the clowns coping, just play it if you enjoy it, plain and simple.

Its delusion to think the game will live past the end of 2025. I say if you have it play it why not? But do not expect it to get much in the way of updates or even be online in 2026. The ceo stated the game has not turned a profit, we know it never will, so why would they keep putting money into it if they are operating at a loss? They have been releasing "major" features people wanted such as jacket and the bank in december, yet it did nothing for sales and player count. They know that player sentiment is done, no one is going to buy this game and they are not going to see a surge in players or sales no matter what they do. Their best bet would be to make it f2p alongside a major update like the skill/armor rework and PRAY that people hop on in mass and start buying dlc. But that wont happen
here's the thing usually failed games like sony's concord get shut down within the first year, so I think they will keep a skeleton crew supporting the game for a while to come. I also think that the reason why there is no offline mode in development is because there is no risk of the game's servers being shut down for good yet, I believe that the actual devs and creative leaders of the game like almir care enough about the game that they would work on an offline mode if they thought that payday 3's servers will be shut down
