You didn't play since Launch in September 2023? Well you will find many changes have happened since then. My suggestion would be to try it out and check how things are now... I know many Steam friends that are back and having fun.
Talking just about content you got double the heists (with the 2024 ones being considered superior to the release ones), double the weapons (and Overkill weapons + Overskills) some extra skill lines, 3 new heisters.
About other stuff added there was Crimenet + Progression Overhaul, an armor which is an hybrid style from the Payday 3 release and the older Payday 1 and 2 (with another armor overhaul to come in March/April that adds modularity to it and brings back a third armor type which is THE Payday 1 and 2 one, which fully regenerates).
This is not all of course, there are other QOL stuff and cosmetics added
Some of this stuff was free, some other was paid. If you check it out remember to claim free dlcs on the Store! (like the Houston character pack)
We're still QA testing this for them from the looks of it.
Played 40 hours now and no crashes, sometimes , very rare server lags,
better than Payday 2 with random crashes sometimes.
always PC > Consoles
I-7-14700K RTX 4070 Z790 Godlike
The swarm of level 1s joining Overkill difficulties and people who OBVIOUSLY skipped the tutorials is astounding.
