more like Starbreeze doesn't believe in this game, and they are correct.
SBZ doesn't have any form of passion for the game, nor any idea of an direction to take it in, so they chose to make PD3 entirely out of content that is basically "middleground" which makes it bland, boring and forgettable.
And by middleground content I mean that the game is literally the most basic fps co-op experience which will do it's best to not take itself seriously at every step just so it can be as 'accessible' as possible to potential buyers.
No one likes to take risks by developing a game for a specific type of audience anymore especially for a dying series that is essentially more than 10 years old so they just become.. generic, soulless, boring etc. as a last ditch effort to squeeze every penny out of the series before it dies for good. It's all about the money now, which is funny for obvious reasons.
