As per the title, has there been any word as to which countries the servers will be located in?

I can put up with having to be online all the time and forgoing p2p but OVK should at least uphold their end by having servers in every country. My past experience with other online only games gives me the sneaking suspicion that they will only be in the US and certain parts of Europe and none in other parts of the world such as Asia, Australia and so on.

It's a bit ironic. One of the stated intentions of requiring us to play on OVK servers is ostensibly to "reduce latency" yet by not having servers in all parts of the world, it would end up increasing latency for those who used to play P2P with others from the same region (outside of the US and EU). For example, 4 friends from Thailand have 30ms ping when playing P2P in PD2 but if they have to play on dedicated servers in the US, their ping could shoot up to 2xx MS or more.

I'm 95% certain the servers are gonna be somewhere around Germany, France, Turkey somewhere in central north america.

Yeah, that's my suspicion as well. The fact that OVK still has not responded to such concerns despite being so close to release does not bode well.

They had OCE servers in the beta. Had low ping as an Aussie.

Its probably just using some cloud provider like AWS or Azura and therefor technically located all over the world.

Usually this means Sydney which is pretty bad for those from Adelaide and further westward. I miss having Adelaide servers those were the days.

I'm glad ANZAC will have their own servers but I still have not heard about other parts of the world such as Asia which in itself is a very large and disparate region ranging from India/Pakistan to China and all the way to Japan and Korea, even Thailand.

I hope the AWS/Azura thing is true but notwithstanding, it still behooves OVK to clear the air about such an important concern. The fact that they are remaining silent about it , even this close to release, does not give me much confidence.

To me, it has the same level of importance as system requirements.

Im in aus, and in the early access its worse than the beta, I think. I don't remember a ping display in the beta.

In early access I'm always getting ~100 ping when I usually have 7-20ping to any servers in australia. Really annoying that you can't play locally to avoid it either.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wonder if the Aussie servers are not actually in Australia but some other country?

Either way, this is going to put off a lot of the international (ie outside of the US and EU) playerbase. If they want to insist on dedicated servers only, they should at least ensure that they have servers for each country.

Now that early access is out, could someone kindly list the "server regions" (assuming that it is indicated) that are available in the game?

How is it like for those of you who aren't from the US or EU?

@Overkill, could you kindly say something about the subject matter? It's not a good look if you continue to remain silent about it. You don't want us to buy the game, get a nasty surprise (due to lack of regional servers) and leave a negative review. Better you be upfront about it.
