they will update the game, but im confident they don't want to and don't care about it anymore

are they working on anything new yet

they're doing the sort of balance changes and content expansions you'd expect, just at such an excruciating snail's pace, and with little thought of repercussions, you're better off not hoping for any major improvements. their promised dlc also seems a bit stuck in the pipeline, not that would bring in a significant playercount
The devs aren't competent or capable or skillful or knowledgable enough to fix this game.

The game is full of bugs yet

A bigger update is coming very soon, the work continues.

Just wait, Shock Granade comes soon. (Only viable with the also new introduced Shock Granade Skill Line).

Most pre-purchase games in present time looks like a scam. This is so often practice. Sometimes game will become dead, sometimes developers doesn't give all they promised. So no pre-purchase games, guys and need wait some time. Now i see low online and i would refund it, but i can't.

They have plans and post them regularly. They quite pointedly do not make plans that address what's broken.

They can't. If they could, the issues plaguing the game would have been fixed around Christmas time and not almost into May.

As someone else described it, they will continue with the minimal viable product effort to avoid any legal problems, keep on putting out enough PR smoke to dizzy the few people still in range to even care and just continue as they are, tinkering vaguely with it over many more months (until it is all shut down).

They like money, so they'll be trying to dump this millstone ASAP. This game is a money pit, not a money maker. Their new investment magnet is their D&D licence which they will be promising to investors will be just as big or bigger than BG3.
