I was right about armor...

a few weeks ago I argued that the adaptive armor with the right skills made overkill so darn easy even on solo, and I said that it should NOT be nerfed and it's best to buff other stuff or add new difficulties

and here we are, their response in their blog post:


ADAPTIVE ARMOR TOGETHER WITH THE FORTITUDE SKILL LINE HAS MADE THE GAME FEEL TOO FORGIVING FOR MANY OF THE HARDCORE HEISTERS, WAS THIS SOMETHING YOU ANTICIPATED?

“For Update 5, we did a lot of internal and external testing (by involving our SBZ partners and PAYDAY moderators) to get it right. We knew that the changes would make the game easier, but we also had feedback that the game was more enjoyable to play, so we decided to go through with it.”
“We are aiming to add loud modifiers in May/June, which will make combat harder on Very Hard and Overkill difficulty. In general, we want to alternate giving players more power and options, with making the game harder. It makes it easier for us to identify issues, but it also gives players some time to adjust to new options and new threats in separate updates.”

It seems like they listened and are trying to add modifiers as well as a ton of other buffs for different enemy types and their spawn rate

They may not be able to fix the servers, but they are able to speedrun late support cycle payday 2 leech/stoic, and for that I commend them.

Regular heavy armor is still better than this crap in 90% scenarios.
Adaptive plus fortitude is only useful for 19 bags cook off.

On the other hand Precision Shot is broken as fk.

As I said earlier mate this combo is only useful on OVK cook off 19 cos u have to save resources. Plate up + Clean Slate with standard shotgun build for adaptive armor magic instant regen.
Plus fortitude/medic for adrenaline when u have move outside from your camping spot next 2 door...
Slap manipulator on top of this and you are ready to go.

no it isnt, 1 chank normal armor is 500 times better then adaptive armor.
