They thought the fans would love the game because it is a sequel to Payday 2. Remember that there would not be an "Operation Medicbag" if the game had 30,000 players.
- having a bunch of people who dont do something because "it´s a lot of work" (game director when asked why simple garbage skill-lines, not proper skill-trees)
- having some people who want to "do it properly" instead of just decently basic (game director when asked why there´s no melee-system; couldnt do a full chivalry simulator, full weapon-rebalance which should take 1 hour (number go up, number go down, press enter))
- having unfire-able people who stream the game, while 99% of the time reading chat, thus the shown gameplay is absolutely abysmal. no 2nd person could bothered to show up and read the chat (global brand manager getting carried by 3 random people. i would´ve kicked him)
- having lots and lots of private profile & alt account shills spamming the forum how great the game is, while the playernumbers implode
- having an artwork tab that´s even deader than raid:ww2, while being completely unfunny and garbage, unlike raid:ww2. even the disgustingly bad AI art was removed by some comment deleting shill-account
- paying out YT shills (probably without direct money transactions) who promote a LAN-version of the game
- having a "community & influencer manager"-position, bc that´s what you do with "influencers". you manage them. modern audience marketing or something like that.
- having a QA lead had his position during starbreezes last "escapades" (dead on arrivals / cancels), who seems to got a couple of new to the industry guys. i would make a comparison between a person with disabilities and other persons with disabilities, in harsh words, but that would certainly get me banned (again)
- banning people who have too much fun on the forum or a little bit of fun on discord
not sure where to put the 3-5 minute matchmaking, ~3 months ago with ~4-5k steamplayers. it probably still takes 3-5 minutes even with 400-500 steamplayers, but simply because 97/100 times you get sent to an empty lobby.
funny how if you join a game via a (random) persons steam profile, this way of joining takes about 3-5 seconds, so obviously it´s possible. the matchmaking is simply complete garbage, while also no quickplay exists, which should fill up not full games, but it does not exist so... yeah... that sucks.
just to name a few things.
my worst mistake was actually paying 40€ for this trash and my second one was having it on auto-update.
Payday 2 has very low return of investment since they can not maximise profit and minimise expenditure. Basically they have to work - make heists, events, weapons and sell them as DLC in order to make money.
In Payday 3 they try to have better return of investment by having the game as simple as possible with as little content as possible, monetising everything, have microtransactions, sell DLCs that are way more expensive than the game itself - basically try to get more money for less work.
So this now is what happens when you overdo your ROI for the sake of the product. Yes they worked less on the game, yess they get more money for less work hours - however it's so much less that the product is flawed and now they have to redo it almost from scratch.
Like when you buy chips and the new chips that is supposed to be a lot better than the old one has less to no chips inside and only air for the same price. Yes the ROI is high since the company put like 1 chip inside and get profit for the whole bag, but you will never get this chips again and you will never get chips from that brand anymore.
Another recent example of this happening is Rocksteady's Suicide Squad, which is also on its last legs despite being release a month ago.
But it's so bad it can't be accidental. The lame story and DEI cast, the lack of RNG cop spawns and restarts, the single generic shooter playstyle or piddlypoor stealth.
Add the terrible progression system, no P2P, no Offline mode to the list of many failings.
Everything that is wrong in PD3 was a deliberate decision that was made.
"We plan to address each of these points with different updates and changes to the game, but I’d also like to clarify that we have no intention of changing the current available armors in the game. We know there have been requests to just change it to the Payday 2 system, but such a change would require us to rework how we balance combat, skills and various other aspects of the game. While this doesn’t mean we’ll never make a change like this, it is currently not planned."
Game barely hits 500 players concurrently and we got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unready button 5 months after launch, idk how people can even defend this obvious scam.
It ain't me who is ill
