PD3 doesn't even allow you to connect to a server if the mood takes it.
dont see the balance in allowing ppl to cheat, the achievements set is a joke then.
and its is also trusted players when you join a lobby, cause no cheating.
Is more that you have the option to kick players thats essential? having the power over lobby ,"king of your realm".
mood?
PD3 has had cheaters
Hosting your own lobby allowed you to see people with cheating mods and kick them.
Mood = unreliability of servers
...which also still demands an internet connection, still has some delay/ping/lag, and there is always the chance the game will still malfunction and rudely return you to the main menu and waste even more of your time instead of just crashing normally and closing the game automatically.
Having cheat also makes the process system in both weapons etc. and infamy sems broken.
but the worst thing is as players or the hole community to look away from something that is so low. Your like “it’s your own business, achievements are for yourself.”
maybe in this coop game i does not matter, but in a lot of other games its matters.
If the game/dev/company gives up on catching cheaters, in my opinion it’s a broken game. I know its 12 years old, and I all that time they couldn’t remove players cheating? You really want a P2P system that broken?
Your argument is that you can remove yourself, the cheaters. But that is what anti cheat should do.
Trying to remove that by going from P2P system to own servers, I think it’s an upgrade.
you know that for a fact how?
your right it should have a kick system, but the malfunctioning servers or program is a progress. Yes, if they knew it would be like this, they should have fix it before sales.
I played about 80 hours, I had that problem like 4 time with crashing.
"the only guaranteed way to avoid cheaters is to do a solo matchmaking queue..."
like in payday2. the irony. yes, i see that problem for some that they really want to go play offline, and that would mean you could keep play it too the ends of time.
but if they make offline mode, with is not server based (don’t know if its possible or a PSP thingy do not have the knowledge about programming) then it’s all about you can.
having the function to kick (but could be use by elitest, or just fit to kick for some unknown reason, which now is positive thing not to be kick at the end of playing a heist,)
should have a reconnect function for rejoining server after crash.
game/server stability.
just to say I agree on the low performance on content. but putting all eggs in one basket is an easy way to downright something.
in a pvp game, cheating is pretty awful since you'll be at an unfair disadvantage.
in a pve game, cheating is much less of an issue since you can either let the cheater benefit you, kick them or leave the game without losing your precious comp rank or whatever. so what if they climb the levels faster? has no bearing on your game experience. exceptions like the dumpster fire TF2 MvM situation apply
all that being said, pd3 needs a kick feature badly. but then again nobody plays this anymore
Player hosting with that player having the ability to kick solves problems as they only have to watch at most 3 other people for behavior if those are all randoms.
