Does anybody's crossplay work?

Having an issue with multiple of my Xbox friends where we'll add each other but we wont show up in each others friends list. Trying to add each other again will give us a "Failure sending friend request" anybody able to get it to work?

We've tried blocking and unblocking/restarting game multiple times and we still can't see each other on our friends list.

when i join random lobbys i mainly see xbox players hardly see playstation players

Its been a thing since early access. They tried to fix it, but it still doesn't work.

even trying to play with friends on steam we had trouble getting in to games together.
Playing with friends seemed to give one friend in particular crashes. Probably a problem with Nebula being garbage

Ended up just re-buying it for him on steam, wish this game had working crossplay
