Can we talk about similar games?

Multiple threads like these have been closed already for being off-topic, so this is just asking the moderators.

I read through the rules posted for this forum and they don't seem to say anything against this, just that we must "post in the correct section of the forums." However, there is no section in these forums for talking about other games. There's currently nothing important going on related to Payday, so it would be nice if the forums could branch out a bit and talk about more positive, fun topics.

I really want to know what other people are playing during the downtime or what games they find similar since, as Payday fans, we're likely to enjoy the same stuff.

This is a topic allowed in the General Discussions for many other games, but if not here, is it possible we could get an Off-Topic subforum and talk about it there?

Hitman for solo play. Crime Boss: Rockay City for solo or multiplayer. I know Crime Boss is only on Epic and people still put up a big stink about it, but does it really matter at this point? Steam, GoG, Amazon, Ubisoft Connect, EA Play, Rockstar, etc. Just get Playnite to consolidate them all into a single launcher.

I can't even bothered to download one other launcher, why do you think I'd have the patience to download two? lol

That said, I looked up the reviews for Crime Boss and it got blasted on Metacritic even on Critic Reviews. Are you guys sure it's good?

It's ok-ish on console, but like Payday 3 needs more time to get QoL patches and more content.
I'd wait for next year, when it comes to Steam.

Perfect heist 2 is probably the closest but probably wont scratch that payday itch for very long. If you want to give starbreeze more money for another game that flopped but honestly really want ALL that bad, you have raid WW2. It got alot of hate cause people were badically expecting payday 2 but ww2, and while there are alot of similarities, it also has its own unique twists here and there.

So, honestly raid ww2 is probably the absolute closest but it was almost immediatly abandoned so there isnt alot of content. However, there is a small community that has made some patches, and i believe a couple of the devs along with some community members are trying to keep it alive and are working on a decent sized "unofficial" official update for it.

Still, it really can be alot of fun, and im pretty sure its just like $10 now. Better to get a group of friends on it though, or be ok with solo play, as multiplayer is pretty much dead. Joining the discord can help finding games but dont expect to just jump right in at any time and find a full lobby.
