It's nothing new
Also, it probably could be disabled when there's only one human player as it can force you into a situation of trying to juggle bags to the escape as cops just keep swarming in.
same in 3.
On Overkill you generally have to stay in cover in one spot until the police regroup phase, at which point you have some time to do objectives, move bags, etc. If the endless wave triggers before that you can get stuck, and it can be very difficult to push at that point. Which can lead to a potentially unwinnable situation.
In my opinion, the Final Assault should only trigger when the escape is available, or on it's way.
no rest for the wicked: enough loot in the van triggers it, i think lowering bollards a second time triggers it as well, so getting the loot to the van without trowing it in is a good plan.
Road rage: enough loot in the chopper triggers it,
Dirty Ice: enough loot in chopper triggers it,
Rock the Cradle: enough loot in cage triggers it,
Under the Surphaze: piking up the painting with the USB triggers it.
Gold & Sharke: enough loot in the chopper seems to trigger it.
99 Boxes: finishing the second wifi hotpots seems to trigger it after a few seconds
Touch the Sky: calling in the chopper triggers it
[EDIT] Little tip here, on some maps when u trow stuff into a van or chopper, it usually shows u how much off the required amount is in it, in the top left corner off the screen as a green bar that fills up, when that bar reaches 100% final assault triggers, getting everything as close to the loot area as possible is a good idea if u do not want to deal with a assault that never ends.
