I'll have to see what it looks like on Road Rage.
I'm offended. :'(
Kidding. Yes, zip lines are fantastic in this. They REALLY do actually help you save time - especially useful in the higher difficulties . They make a huge difference fr
*I noticed multiple ziplines don't really do much unless you're going Loud, since they specifically go to the exit point that only shows up in Loud heists. Might be all of them.
Zipline Bags on Reach for the Sky are GOATED though. It pretty much just siphons on the loot from the vault straight to the extraction, so as soon as the chopper comes in all the bags are automatically transferred to the chopper. Just fantastic. The zipline bags seem decent on Gold and Sharke as well, but most people don't see it and just forget to use it when I put it down.
I think with how early the game is, Zipline bags are just something that people need to take time getting used to since everyone is hardwired to just manually transport stuff from Payday 2. It's gonna take some time for people to remember to use them on maps when they're there.
The reason being, think about it. You can either put the bags at the back of the truck which are literally in the open and completely surrounded by spawns of cops including specials. Or, you can just throw them on a zipline and they go up to the top of the scaffolding which is a central high point with decent cover and they are at a location that is pretty much in the middle of the two spots where you have to bring the bags for the helicopter for either side. I'm level 82. I've done road rage probably 30x or more. I call that spot the Alamo because that's pretty much what it is. A somewhat fortified position which allows you to hold out for a reasonable amount of time
There's also the problem of not having an Inventory screen, so I can't see the special favors I have access to before a game begins, either. The whole thing's clunky.
I really wish they didn't make the sources of those favors so cryptic.
