People holding games hostage needs to be addressed

At first I was in favor of no kicking players, but I had forgotten that extracting requires every player present so if one person wants to grief they can just make the heist impossible to complete by hiding in a spot cops can't get them. There needs to be a timer when at least half of the crew is at extraction or something.

Welcome to the internet where some people wants to be useless. That's the reason why this darn online only is here. People just want to hack and pirate games for fun. Starbreeze is considering on adding a vote kick feature but it's not in the works yet as their number 1 priority is to make the servers stable long term.

Vote kick wouldn't work in the situation I was just in since it was 2 people doing it. All 4 of us were playing normal for the whole heist, but then as soon as it became time to extract two people revealed themselves to be undercover agents and betrayed us, refusing to extract.

No idea. I have such little idea that it literally didn't even cross my mind as something that was possible until I saw these guys do it.

Yeah that's a tough one without host, idk how they'd solve that without just starting the timer, maybe for 1 person in extraction it starts a minute timer, and then for every other player it becomes less and less until 4 players is like normal, but that takes the excitement away of everyone having to get to extraction

Also the other person who was just trying to play the game was like level 13, so he just got this game. This is one of his first experiences. He might stop playing because he waited 40 minutes then disconnected.

HOLY CRAP that's a long time. Who could blame him if he did, that's really unfortunate. The more people realize something can be abused, the more abusive they become too.

Yeah I was eating chili and just watching YouTube on my other monitor. Noticed he left when he stood up, since the bot took over. I eventually left at the 70 minute mark since my chili was finished and I was ready to play again.

We just need host privileges plain and simple. There is no need to change how extraction works or do all the other suggestions. Leave extraction as is and just give us host privileges again.

But there's no host. Overkill is the host, or Starbreeze, or whatever they're called now. Also host kick was abused all the time, it had the opposite problem where if the host would sometimes speedrun to extraction then literally open the kick menu as fast as he was able to and just start kicking people who weren't on extract.
