sadly they replaced the drills with something extremely unfun and lazy/cheap.
Place said items into high traffic areas so you have to constantly get near then move away, at least this way it goes from "random hotspot areas" to "these items are connected to the wifi" or some ♥♥♥♥
Same basic idea, but removes the "hot spot" thing from it, I personally agree that it's really weird and clearly serves the purpose to move you around a lot, but I don't find it difficult, just time consuming and pointless

Yeah exactly, in GTFO it just works. In Payday where scans are limited to only a few places, sometimes you complete one, it respawns in the same place ?
In stealth, they are quite hard to do and honestly just a hassle
It's just not fun to do.
