I'm mainly looking at BigFry and his half assed apology video, granted I didn't watch it much nor am I subbed to him but ActMan let me down, let the event cloud his judgement and he's coming from a non-PD2 player perspective and it's just so skewed.

Some of them were utterly humiliated putting out their shill videos/material saying how great the game was after launch and then had to admit in comments that the video and gameplay was recorded before the launch day so it's completely dated and out of touch. I had a good laugh at them being caught out as so shameless. No one should trust anyone who has been caught out shilling ever again. They aren't there to help you or tell the truth or even give honest opinions, they are there to follow the orders of the highest bidder publisher that day.

I do. Youtube is ripe with underage kids who have parasocial relationships with these creators. Content creators who push dead products onto these trusting kids are the lowest form of humanity and should be regulated. There's a reason you can't have legally binding contracts with minors and there's a reason official advertising is heavily regulated. These are the kind of people will do anyone for $5 and I'm not sure how you'd sleep if you scammed kids but I wouldn't be able to look at myself ever again. One day they will peddle something to your kids too and you have to deal with the consequences not them. You should care too.

Thankfully they have to state if something is a paid promotion. So you'll know instantly if they have sold out and screwed over gamers for the sake of making some easy dirty money.

It's just down to whatever makes them money with these "professional" ones, sadly. They will wait for the money or to see what gets clicks and algorithm love. All so tiresome. Go back to trusting real people who you know and can talk to and get to know. Forums, your own networks of friends you have on platforms, people you know IRL, etc. and people you know who are genuine hobbyists/enthusiasts that have overlapping taste with your own. Not some e-celeb trying to cultivate simps or parasocial orbiters and feeders and play the game of getting sponsors and traffic.
