Is the only option to deal with guards is to kill them?

Is there no way to tie up guards? (basic security/police).

I seem to be unable to shout at them, and also, after shoving, I cannot cuff them.

This seems to mean that you MUST use a radio to deal with a guard? There is no other option?

Same as Payday 2, you gotta burn a pager to permanently deal with a guard, yes. Best to avoid them wherever possible. On higher difficulties you get less pagers.

If you sneak up behind a gaurd you can take them as a human shield then use takedown as far as ive played havent been able to yell at gaurds. you also get a free suppressor on the default pistol it doesnt tell you about to help with stealth.

You can also distract them, some heists have objects you can interact with to lure them away. Sometimes other players or stuff like throwing knifes can also be used to lure them away.

You need to be extremely picky who you eliminate later on
You get 2 pagers on Overkill, and most likely one of them is the camera operator

There's 2 perks that allow you to deal with guards without killing them, but they require you to go a mask on route.

First one is the first perk in the charisma tree. If you upgrade it twice, everyone around you will lay down in the ground when you put your mask on.

There is another perk further down the line in that tree that lets you "scare" guards at gunpoint, so that's that.

You can hack their pager to make them go away in the grifter tree, but that doesn't permanently deal with them. It's either: hack their pager, kill/subdue them and answer their pager, avoid them.

i mean it does work on the lead guard, you still have answer infinite pagers tho so you're screwed ;)
