No Rest For The Wicked in Casing Only?

I see ppl on the internet claiming this heist can be done in casing only, but I dont see how? You need to arrest the manager to unlock the keypad so you can start typing in the vault code?

Am I missing something, how is this heist supposed to work in casing only?

Learn the code mask on, reset heist, the heist will be the EXACT same. Only leaving the game will change the heist.

Also a friend helps to escort.

You can just brute force the code by guessing. There's only 24 possible combinations. Takes a long time, but you can do it. Alternatively, since the codes stay the same between mission resets, you just do it properly with the manager on round 1, then reset having already learned the code.

but the code alone doesnt help you, the vault key pad has a biometric shield that can only be unlocked by the manager? you take the manager to the vault before you can try for the vault code right?

You can also guess the code first try, the UV light over the keypad shows which buttons have been pressed. If you get 4 or 3 digits, it might take awhile but it can be done. If you get 2 digits, it's allot easier to just guess the code

when you look at the keypad, your guy will shine a uv light on it, which reveals finger prints.

one finger print will always be on the enter button, and the rest of the finger prints will be on numbers in the code.

example: 3 fingerprints, on 7 6 and 9.

you can use this to brute force the code, ex: try 7769 then 7796 then 7669 7699 etc. you know 7 6 and 9 are in it, but its a 4 digit so one number has to be doubled.

you can also do everything until the code, then mask up and grab the manager to learn the code, then just restart the mission as the code will be the same.

its very nice as carrying bags in a public area, while in casing, is not counted as suspicious.

wait hang on, why are you asked in normal stealth to bring the manager to the vault to begin with, I thought he needed to unlock something before you can type in the code?

yes you are. you take him there so he can request the vault code using the scanner.
thats why he scans and he gets the code sent to him.
the code works at all times, you just need the manager to get it for you so you actually know it.

Get the manager. Push the manager to the vault close to the keypad. Wait a second. He get a message for his computer. Grab the manager again, tie him. Go to his computer, you will get codes. Go to the vault, check the keypad (closely) you will see fingers prints, those are the number you need to use, check the numbers you go from hacking the computer and the ones in the keypad.

you can also take out cameras in casing mode.
just pickpocket the blue keycard from a guard, enter the camera room and get caught by the guard in there.

getting caught in a private area while in caasing doesnt start the assault, it makes the guard escort you to a public area. and when camera guard leaves the room is permanently disables all cameras even though he does go back.

thanks that makes it way easier... I would have thought the camera room was secure area where you immediatly get arrested

it also sounds a bit like a bug :P

get code from computer, reset heist(code will be the same after reset), enter code to the vault after flipping the right switch while still in casing mode. only do that with higher difficulty, guards will not be suspecting you if you carry bag

it probably is, but theyve got bigger bugs to work on so lets call it a temporary feature ;)

and i dont know all the spawns, but at the bare minimum the camera room place on the second floor by the elevator is only private.

maybe it can spawn on the roof, which is secure. or maybe one of the rooms it can spawn in elsewhere is secure. just check to make sure its still private when you enter the room, since the dude isnt facing you anyway.
