The team that made PD3 isnt the same from PD2???
I was reading the posts and some guy was saying that, I like this game however the state of it right now and wasnt thinking about refunding cause I saw the work they put on PD2.
But if its not the same team, that makes me a lot more skeptical about its future

Average tenure of tech companies is barely over 2 years. And it's been 10 years since Payday 2. Of course it's not the same team. No game franchise is anyway.

Nah its the same team that made OVERKILL's THE WALKING DEAD.
Google about this game if you want, very interesting stuff to read. It was so bad that even TWD rights owner demanded this game to be pulled off from digital stores.

The owners are both gone, the Dev team is almost completely different... the only one still here is Almir.
Overkill only exists in name.

I still enjoyed the first game the most, most of the original devs are part of "10 Chambers" now I think, they made the game "GTFO".

I should really try GTFO again at some point. Played the early access, but couldn't get any of my friends to play and that game was really dang hard.

Same here, I loved the premise, was a very "Aliens" like game kinda, but if you end up having to go loud it was way too hard. At least in Payday 3 so far, the heists are still doable if you fail stealth.

There was a huge split:

There's another article where Ulf talks about how he ended up in a psychiatric asylum for a while, it's hard to find the article though ( burnout ).

Actually, Ulf was committed TWICE .
First time was after Bo managed to kill their first company, GRIN... which is the reason Wolf was always described as a Deranged former game developer; Ulf was making light of his bad experience through his character in PDTH and PD2, but then it sadly happened again when Bo began to ♥♥♥♥ up Overkill.

I found it by searching for Ulf Grin Payday:

Eventually, Overkill merged with Starbreeze. While Starbreeze went on to have a very public implosion in 2018, Andersson left the company around 2015 when the stress of development caused him to have a brief stint in a mental institution.

“I had psychosis for around 10 hours,” said Andersson. “Then I needed rehabilitation for eight months and needed to work out what was next.
