we're upset because all this was preventable.
but no greed and stupidity won the day again.

simple solution was offer an offline/single player mode just like PD2 has. but noooooooo had to be greedy idiots and make your game always online despite the history of always online games crashing and burning. Heaven forbid you do something pro consumer

Its just ridicolous that if you play solo you still have to find a server to play on instead of using the system used in pd2 which worked smooth and easy

100% truth. It was easily avoidable. Their choices made this disaster happen. There was plenty warning from many of us that this was a risk but they ignored it and went ahead with it because they lack respect or care for the players and fans. Nothing about making it always on even for solo play is about improving the PLAYER'S experience. It was pure greed and disregard for them.

Anti-consumer practices like this need to end. This absolute joke of a launch is just highlighting how bad it has got over time. Overdue to roll it all back to something better.

Yup. You can bet your bottom dollar that's a "monetization avenue" someone has already got in the pipeline. There's already articles too about companies using the data from online gaming to target whales to sell them in-game items and currency.

ok just make sure to blame the right people: the publishers - not the developers

They both are equally as guilty. You don't get to not blame the guy who drove the getaway car just because he wasn't the guy that pulled the trigger

Whats worse is that the training mission are up showing that the game can in fact handle its self with out matchmaking. The devs just deiced that we all needed to go though matchmaking.

Studio signed the contract with the publisher, they are both complicit in people's problems.

True. They both had a hand in this and choices made. Plus we know that "only following orders" isn't a valid excuse from historical precedent. ;)

They made the game. They designed it badly. They didn't test or finish development properly. If you can't blame the people who MADE THE PRODUCT then it's already into bizarro cloud cuckoo land.
