Also the stuttering when you perform certain actions goes away after a while, it's a weird caching thing

It is normal for the game to stutter heavily if it's your first time playing; the game compiles shaders on the fly. It's apparently an Unreal Engine quirk. But once they're compiled, you should no longer have the stuttering. So try playing for a little while and see if it gets any better.
