Payday announced servers go down 3am CEST, which is in a few minutes. This is for matchmaking improvements. Don't be crying that the servers are down and that it's an error, it's being brought down to be improved so you don't get disconnected.

Please be aware that we will be taking down the PAYDAY 3 servers for maintenance, between 3:00 and 7:00. This is for our team to make improvements to the matchmaking as well as some preparations ahead of launch on Thursday.

It seems like game tries to connect you with people close to you, the problem however is I currently live in very isolated place and there are very few people who join my games, I only had like 2 players both from same country (not the place of my location).
Hope we can get an option for worldwide player search like we had in PAYDAY 2

yeah that's extremely annoying, at the absolute bare minimum there should be a create lobby and join lobby button rather than just "MATCHMAKE".
