Performance Poll
Hi all,

I am wondering about everyone's' performance with PD3.

I hate the reliance of modern games on upscaling as some sort of cheap optimization, and this game seems to be rough with it. I am running a Ryzen 9 7900X paired with a 6950XT on a 1440p monitor.

With upscaling on the first heist I would get around 120FPS, without around 80FPS.
In the tutorial I reached the capped 180FPS regardless. This is on High settings, but Ultra barely changed the FPS.

this game is well optimized , no need to activate any upscale @ 4K and every maps run flawlessly @ 120 fps without DLSS with everythings set to ultra settings

I'm running on a AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, with a RTX 3060Ti 8GB, with 32 GB of DDR4 RAM. My monitor is 1440p. My video settings are all on Ultra with DLSS on Auto. With that PD3 is running at a solid 165 FPS, it's capped at 165 FPS because of V-sync. Idk what FPS I will get if I uncap it but so far I had zero frame drops or crashes.

I agree it's decently well optimized. Just important for people to realize it is brand new release; hardware from 6 or 7 years ago might not cut it any more, that's just how technology works.

Yes this game is very well optimized. Unlike most games where I have to tweak my settings to get a comfortable performance, in PD3 I had to change nothing to get the performance I'm getting currently. I did change my settings after 2 runs. Good job on the devs.

funfact it runs partially better then PD2 for me ( and no i never used PD2 mods )

Got an RTX 2080Ti and I can only pull like 50-60FPS on the bank job, even on Low settings lol. Something is weird there, for sure.

Meanwhile I can get 100FPS on the art gallery and penthouse heist no problem even with everything maxed out.

The biggest drain on performance seems to be "Effects" for me, so I've just chucked that on Low now.

Hope better optimisation comes with the game over time.

Gtx 1070 with 32 g ram

Runs good

the fps is fine, but i get stutter whenever something happens such as when an explosion or something happens

I averaged 65-80ish fps on the first job on a 7900XTX, 7950X and 64gb of ram, hoping it's just that job that runs poorly

Well i can tell, that the beta was fine for me.
Ryzen 5 5600X
RTX 3060 Ti
32 GB

I usually play my games capped at 75 fps and 1920x1080 res. And did the same with Payday 3. The game ran pretty smooth imo.

I will however update this once my game arrives and i played the final version for a few hours.

Edit: Release Version Runs well on my side.

ryzen 7700
radeon 7900xtx

chilled down to 90fps around 50% util and 140watts

it runs like a decent optimised old UE 4 game for me.
