its not "abandoned" per say, but its not alive either.
true, just like starbreeze stocks
It's not as big as PD2
But it's a solid game with what it offers, Gameplay is good, weapons are good, the heists that are here are pretty solid.
The xp gain can be a hit or miss, it's slow but ok to do, xp is locked behind challenges, you do not get (yet) xp from just completing a heist, only from challenges that you complete during 1 or multple heists. For example kill 50 people with a specific weapon, goes up to 1000 kills, every stage of that challenge gives a bit more xp towards your level.
Also sillpoints are a bit of a pain. every 5-7 levels you get one, i'm level 65 with 16 out of 21 points, while i have already 50+ hours in it.
If you like PD games then yes it's worth it, if you don't then skip it till the fist day patch finally get's released.
Do i personally recommend it?
- yes, it's a solid game, still enjoying it.
Once in a blue moon we get a handful of generic corpo posts on some platform to pretend they are totally listening to us. Then they proceed to do as they were going to do anyway, nothing changing from the inevitable course. May as well try to have a conversation with a brick.
They have no interest in what the fans and players want. We exist only as a resource for them to exploit to please the real customers - the investors they are promising to milk us with MTX and ten dollar masks or whatever is coming for years to come. We are all simply considered on the level of unfortunate and inconvenient obstacles to our wallets.
It is baffling why they are just so breathtakingly bad at communication - REAL communication, you know, when people talk back and forth and it sounds like real humans and not a bot or pre-written statements or hostage statements? LOL
For years it's just felt like shouting into the wind or void trying to communicate with them. There's no interest from them at all. It makes things all the worse for these situations when they mess up again and again and just delay and leave people hanging and in the dark once more or when they make their promises that despite concerns it'll all totally work out (like the online only and the servers we were promised wouldn't go down and those concerned about were totally wrong and silly...).
How did this cost countless millions of dollars to do?
Got the source for that? Would really like to see it.
