Gold, easiest choice in a while.

I have never pre ordered games other than Borderlands:TPS / 3, simply because I love borderlands.

But Payday3 is another easy pre-order simply because it can't fail.

Payday2 was gameplay first, story over time.

Gameplay games are so easy to improve on, as you only need to make the game more fluent, unlike story games.

And unlike other modern releases, this one is going to be something special.

It's going to be a unique ride.

i was on the fence, because buying the normal version and only heists dlcs is still a better choice than gold, but the game is very good so weapon dlcs can be good too, dunno.

Maybe sticking with only vanilla weapon is good enough

Basically the only thing I'm interested is in gold and silver edition is season pass. I don't care about 3 days early access or those cosmetics cos anyone can buy those. I'm just wondering how much season pass will cost. :)

I get that point of view too even thought mine is differend. Reason why I like online only is because there will be less cheaters and it's coop game after all.

we can only wait and see. its a co-op game with a singleplayer mode after all

Once I get some hands on beta time I will decide between playing it on gamepass, getting the ultimate super bundle or just passing on it like I did with raid and overkill's walking dead game.

Duno if I will buy this, but if I do probably standard edition as I'm not sure if I will end up bothering to play it by time DLC comes out. The special editions probably aren't much of a discount on the DLC anyway.

It's same thing as previous Payday games, questionable gameplay adjustments and possibly worse. They have painfully re-created Payday in Unreal Engine 4, bringing all the dated aspect of it into 2020s.

The big question is what is the launch content like? Payday 2 advertised a lot of content on lauch, but on launch we found a lot of micro missions and them re-using maps in different heists.

In terms of first person horde coop games: If Vermintide 2 is a 10 and Back4Blood is a 0, Payday 3 is probably about a 5.
There could be some parallels in gameplay design with Back4Blood. Back4Blood similarly opted for a strange design of basing gameplay around pouring bullets into sponges.
