Why does this game have Denuvo anti-cheat?

Denuvo destroys SSDs and tanks the performance of the game? This is a coop shooter on P2P hosting. There is no need for such invasive and destructive anti-cheat software.

Payday 3 is on servers, not P2P which is why people are mad about it being an always online game.
As for Denuvo, I, personally, have yet to encounter performance loss or destruction of my SSDs from any recent game I've played that has it.

It doesn't have Denuvo anti-cheat, it has Denuvo anti-tamper, which is the DRM. Whether the game has an anticheat or not is currently unknown.

It's also not P2P, it's dedicated servers on Nebula.

if they add anti cheat i just would assume they will sell premium currency and they dont want people to cheat it so they sell less oterhwise i would not understand it
