Known Issue: Intel Cards
Dear Destroyer Community!

We regret to inform you that players with Intel graphics cards may encounter compatibility issues while attempting to play Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter. So far we are aware of issues with the Iris Xe, UHD 750, and UHD 630 models. Similar issues may also occur on other Intel cards, but so far, we have not been able to verify this. Despite our best efforts to address these issues, we have been unable to find a solution.

For those who have already made the purchase, we recommend seeking a refund or considering upgrading to a different graphics card.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Best regards,
Destroyer Team

For all interested, especially the keen developers, I have found a workaround. DXVK 2.3 copied to the main directory fixes the issue for me. I am on Intel Iris Xe. The bug is a known shader problem with Intel cards, where games appear darker / lighter. The matter should be investigated further.

Oh man, if this happens to be working, you just made our day!

Intel Graphics Issues and DXVK
In a pinned post, a potential solution to problems with Intel cards is briefly discussed. It recommends copying DXVK to "the main directory." I downloaded DXVK from Github, but I am not sure where to put it. It unzips to a folder with x32 and x64 subfolders. I expect that the x64 folder is what I want, but do I just put the whole folder into "the main directory?"

I'm also having problem starting the game on Intel Iris Xe and nVidia GTX1650.
On my other laptop that have GTX980M the game just works. To this one won't.

It just keep black screen on start and nothing else but on task manager is showing as running and alt+tab works.

Disabling Iris Xe GPU from device manager did not solve anything. Also upgrading to the latest nvidia gpu driver did not solve anything.

I downloaded and unpacked dxvk 2.4 from Github, since I run x64, I copied x64 folder's contents into Steam\steamapps\common\Destroyer The U-Boat Hunter folder. Then run the game. Videos are somewhat bugged, but the glare problem stops.
