Is PS4 controller supported?

I've heard a lot about having an xBox controller, but are there PS4 prompts and support in this game?

DirectInput from my PS5 controller works as an Xbox controller, and prompts as one, and even the modder fix doesn't put the buttons on the right places, so doubtful.

However, if you can combine the code changes in two modders works, you can have fully functional mouse and keyboard and end the horrid stutter that is hard coded into the camera movements by using the config patcher in the mod kit, BUT, make SURE you store backups of all the altered files, for your own safety, and have fun.

...sooo.... if i only have a PS4 and PS3 controller, the sale on Steam does nothing for me? ;\ what is the appropriate controller (as i have no X-Box & don't intend to buy others or use codes...)?
