Great game except pc controls garbage

The game has mouse and keyboard controls. I've been using those to play the game pretty much all the time.

It has mouse and keyboard controle. Just start the config file. AND if you have any kind of 12button gamepad you are able to reconfigure it. Supports force feedback as well.
Dont forget to Save it (save and start ...)

I haven't had any issues with the KB+M controls. I hadn't even considered that this might've been designed for a controller, and I'm still not convinced.

this game actualy is pretty good with its controls-
i played the hole game through twice with mouse and keyboard.
After i played it at my ps3 system with a controler it was pretty ugly to play
with a controler instead, but i think its just a question of habituation.
I don´t like first person shooters with a controler its not as fast as with mouse

Biggest Problems with M+KB:

Moving the minions at will while pressing LB+RB is oversensitive (for example when you have to play "pingpong" with the fat halfling, luckily he hit all 4 at random when I got there the second time)
Second, you can't change the keybindings. F9 and F11-12 won't work for me because 11&12 are Steam-bindings (overlay and screenshot) and I don't know why F9 won't work.
So I'm stuck with 3 less spells, and I'd really like to use the Inferno one.... (which is F9)

And sometimes, the mouse-buttons are 'stuck' and I have to click multiple times left and right to undo all commands. (And that's they only game where I have these kind of problems)

If, you having trouble with the mouse. Do what i do. Click on the left and right buttons on the mouse. That, does the trick for me.

I'm also having issues with my mouse. it's a logitech g600 with 12 macro keys which is perfect for spell switching. I have the dpi down to 900 but the sweep is crazy bad. Camera get's borked while sweeping. Once my minions find a target while sweeping they will change direction randomly. Also having the 'stuck' issue where if I hold mouse for a second to send out my minions it will 'lock' that option and send minions to their death if I don't stop it.

Just did some testing. There is a mouse option in the actual game that lowering helped with sweeping. Also sweeping is a good way to fix the stuck mouse issue.

Funny, I'm replaying this game on the awesome PC me and my brother built, and I'm having the problem with the mouse getting stuck too. Funny thing is, when I played it on my much weaker laptop, this problem never happened. It's lost me so many minions that could go towards my God tier armor set that I'm considering switching to controller.

There's one particular puzzle in the Heaven's Peak Abyss that I switched to the controller for. I have done it before with the mouse, but not without much rage and misogyny.
