Each map area isn't big, and you can use other things to navigate your way like details, dialog, menu button, mission says, YouTube walkthrough, etc.

I'm gonna necro post this to say welcome to old games, maps were a luxury. and expecting one from a 2007 game was your first mistake. The game is also fully playable without one and this seems like the worst reason to not enjoy a game tbh. Even games now still sometimes have no maps because the focus is pretty well the story.

Problem with this is the backtracking. The spaces are not distinct enough to remember like Zelda and there is endless going back to use something you gained later.

I mean... Doom 2 had a map. I think this one coulda managed.
