Overlord: Raising Hell

Overlord: Raising Hell

Raising Hell vs Overlord
So what a load of crap...it looks like a totally different game but in reality it's just a expansion pack/dlc, who ever is responsible for the advertizing needs to change that as it's very deceptive! imo

I havent played this game, is there any difference?

It adds some new areas and some other stuff to the base game, I have not yet explored the new areas yet. It is a DLC for the base game NOT a new/different game.

It is an expansion pack that add more gameplay to the end of the original game.

It is an expension pack and the new areas (one 'underworld' for each area in the game) play pretty different from the base game. It is full of completely hilarious ideas and new game mechanics (at one point you're using your minions to play flipper and golf with the fat hobbit).

I think it got released on Steam at a time where there weren't any DLCs yet.

once youve installed raising hell, you cant even load the original, and as for adding content to the end of the first game, you can visit the new areas as soon as the boss for an area has been defeated, before finishing the main story. Its very uncommon for a DLC/addon to actually weave its content into the base game, its pretty awesome.

It had me quite confused trying to play the original Overlord, I was getting pissed because of the loading screen was different from the pause screen....thanks for clearing it up for me!!:bandit:

May I ask you for help? Can someone tell me what should I do? :Questions:
I finished Overlord, then bought Overlord: Raising Hell (ORH). My last save is the fight with father of both sisters (the main boss). Should I use an earlier save point to go to new worlds of ORH?
I love this game but I don't want to play it from start (at least for now). :GATimp:

Try loading it up and see if any portals to hell have opened up in the game. If no portals have opened up yoou might need to start again.

Yes, any save before the final confrontation event chain will work.
(Actually, even any save after the final confrontation should work.)

ok.. I just beat Overlord and wanted to move to the next game in the franchise just to now realize Raising Hell is only an expansion and I should play this instead of the original game? Do I understand it right? Or can I just play Raising Hell and only new maps? I really enjoyed the first game but I have no plans to play it again right now just because of this expansion.. why is it even advertised so strangely?

Can I even play only those maps? Did I beat the original game for nothing and could get a way more out of it?

THANKS

You CAN play Raising Hell AFTER beating the main campaign (or while doing it). It is completely up to you. You don't need to play the game again.

I finished the first game, then after some time I wanted to play this DLC or part - Overlord: Raising Hell (Overlord RH). As many people here said you can play it when you finish the main game - beat the final boss. In my case - I started Overlord RH and I've got to kill the final boss again and that is where I begun Rasing Hell. I have tried to go to the finished original levels and I was able to do it.
In Overlord RE you will have to go back to some or all levels (I haven't finished it yet) You have to try this game to make a decision to play it or not. I decided to play, I liked it. The newest Overlord: Fellowship of Evil is not good or bad (I will not buy it, not the same good Overlord). But the original game, RE and Overlord 2 are excellent games in my personal opinion.

If you get the DLC you are not forced to play in the underworld.
