As an experienced player, I don't think adding vanilla co-op to such projects would be the right decision. However, there is a demand for such a gaming experience, and I think that if the developers release mod support, something like this will appear, just like in RimWorld.

Co-op option is always beneficial. Not only it's more fun to play with a friend or group of friends, but a person will also try to convince their friend/friends to buy this game, and play together. So it also brings financial benefits to the devs. Having more ways to play a game is always a good thing ^^

Its only a financial benefit to the devs if the profits generated specifically because the feature was added are greater than the costs of implementing the feature. And not just "greater", but at a rate of return on investment that is considered worth it.

If a game doesn't have co-op, it's a sure bet that someone in charge of the money determined it was not the case for that game. You may disagree with their take on it, but they have market data and (presumably) qualified people making that decision so they generally trust their opinion more than a handful of random-online-forum-posts.

No it is not always! This game is SINGLE player game and there no good reason to redo everything just to make useless and pointless co-op

Or that someone qualified can also be wrong.
Concord also had qualified people making decissions.

That is a pretty random comment; I'm not sure how you are drawing any parallels between the two.

Regardless, I already said they might be wrong, but they certainly aren't going to take your opinion, as random-poster-on-the-internet over their own professionals.

If you actually want to make a difference in that kind of decision-making then you (and a LOT of gamers like you) need to make your case with your wallets. Do not buy games that do not have co-op and buy games that do have co-op more often. If enough of you do that over a period of time, then the "market data" that I mentioned will support you.

Market data already supports that.
It's has been proven that co-op games tend to generate significantly more revenue than non-co-op games.
Research was done by Video Game Insights.
And I never said I would never buy a game. I like it very much!
It's a suggestion for the devs.
Maybe they will actually make co-op based on my suggestion, maybe they actually have it inplans, but want to check how this version will sell?
All in all, co-op game make much more money.
Good talk m8! have a great day or evening, I need to make dinner! (baked ribs, woohoo!)

Yes, and that's why many games have already been ruined by attempts to add unnecessary co-op. How long has it been since games have benefited from following market trends?

How is that ruining a game by adding an aditional option/way to play that game? You still have your solo mode. And like I mentioned, it is proven by research done by Video Game Insights, that games which have co-op option in them sell much, much better.

Have a friend sit next to you and tell you what to build. Im sure you will like that because you like to go around trying to tell everybody else what to do. Boom Co-op as far as this game is concerned. Have you even played it? You already use your limited resources including staff time to handle everything, there is next to no room for another player. Co-op is not a benefit in every game. Do games that make sense to have it make it better? More then likely. Do games that focus on a single player aspect with no room for more players benefit from it? Not likely and It adds a bunch of dev time and cost for no real reason. Should games always plan around having it? Absolutely not.

That's not how friends work m8. Get some and you'll find out.
What I wrote is backed up by research.
Also see a psychologist, as getting so riled up by a suggestion made by a random stranger isn't quite normal.

He does not even understand how to change the game for the sake of an optional cooperative can harm the main game in single player mode. It’s like a child who says: “I want a toy”, not understanding that the family is in debt and cannot buy it.

And I, as a person with experience in psychology, say that disputes with strangers allow some people to feel alive. It IS quite normal. But indeed, this does not fit into the picture of based psychopath skibidi sigma person.

Sure m8.
If you need to argue with strangers on the internet to feel alive, go for it.
Good for you.
