Same with RimWorld and similar base-builders. You just have to understand what playthrough you're aiming for.
Difficulty settings in Mind Over Matter are the best I've seen, btw. The most flexible, I would say.
If you don't have a big supply of wood, just let it get closer to the school until it doesn't cost anything to repel.
I didn't know this, but I think the futher pushed back the more rare materials exist? Not sure yet.
I mainly said this because a lot of negative reviews stated they were very stressed over the fog coming through.
This is huge! I didn't know this.
Remember in an emergency you can give move orders on resources on the ground, and toggle your mages to maximum priority hauling to bring the resources close to your school and away from the fog and rain (just get them in storage asap to avoid gremlins).
Well, as the game progresses, you'll need many more types of planters - almost all of them. That's why researching planters is almost one of the most important technologies (not that the others aren't important, but planters are one of the main factors that help you get your feet on the ground)
Sadly, some of the reviews that are negative state that. I couldn't reply to them, but I'm wishing they knew they could adjust various features.
This. Half the Negative reviews are from morons who apparently couldn't be bother to look at the buttons in the Escape screen.
But then again they're mostly the same persons who also complain about `lack of tutorials`, when there is an entire underground room that holds The Codex....
Some simply don't have the Mind to grasp any Magic whatsoever, unless it happens to be spoon fed.
Sadly, and this is me sounding like a boomer, but younger generations have no concept of not being spoon fed. I blame snack-sized-content shorts like TikTok for ruining their attention span. I see it in the workforce as a software developer. Our interns cannot focus at all, nor do they want to do the work of asking questions/researching. It absolutely applies to gaming that isn't linear/spoon-fed to them too.
Rant over.
Makes no difference, every generation moans about the one before and after with the exact same things.
