In your list of "everything" on the right, look for "Non Mage corpses". When opened up, you should see Croa corpses. Click on that, and it will tab through where all the corpses are stored. clear/remove them from the containers, and destroy the bodies.
It's beta of course, so important to point out for devs as they improve the game. Problem is, I have found no way to keep mages/quilts to "not" grab their bodies and store them. Most the time, even a lvl 5 Destroy order won't get there in time before they are stored.
Research the Midden Jelly, build a couple, set them to high priority. Add composting orders to each of them to make brains and eyeballs; set at least one of these recipes to "infinite" on each Midden Jelly. Voila, all of your croa corpses get automatically broken down for resources.
2. you can cancel the store order.
3. if your mages are too busy to destroy in time before nightfall, then instead of 'store' (or even if already stored) simply 'move' the corpse to the area that'll be covered by fog when night falls. The fog will destroy the corpse for you.
4. you can directly order a mage to destroy the corpse as their first priority by having the mage selected and then right-clicking the corpse and selecting 'destroy'. That way they'll do it immediately.
On a side note: Anyone else's rat farm not working? I have it up and running; feed them in their trough; they eat it; but never grow past 6 (and I have it set to 8 or more). And none of my wolves ever come to eat them (and I have the "you can eat'm box checked).
That is not a good setup. Like all crafting stations, Midden Jellies will work on recipes from the top downwards, and move to the next only after all the recipes above it are fulfilled. So if the recipe at the top of the list is set to infinite, they will never do anything else unless there are not enough materials for the recipe to run.
Rat corpses can be stored indefinitely without problems, so set the recipes that use those to a level that fits your needs. Move the two recipes that use croa (brains and eyeballs) to the top of the list; put the one you think you need the less of at the very top and set it to a sensible limit, and put the other one second and set it to infinite. (Or have two jellies, one with infinite brains on top, and the other with infinite eyeballs on top.)
Wolfkin will prefer to eat conviction-boosting food if you have any, so they won't eat rats unless there is nothing better. The number of rats that can be in a pen is limited by the size of the pen, so your pen may just be too small for 8 rats; if you look through the pen's infobox, somewhere it should tell you how many rats it can hold.
More so, i NEVER EVER hunt croas in the first 30-40 days or so. Never done anything different from one run to another.
And yet, every frikkin night i need to kill like 30 spectral croa (right now 35+). And it is getting to a point that it is just not possible. Because they keep increasing in number. Right now i have like almost 1,5k ectoplasm stored.... and also no way to get rid of it of course.
Did two runs before this one and i never had to kill more than 3-4 spectral croas at night.
Im clueless here.
This needs to be fixed asap.
This game is never going to go out from early access at this rate...
Sure, lets keep using that "excuse" after more than one year and a half.. lol.
I'd use F8 to report it.
Well, i was exagerating sooner or later i always kill some croas along the way, but again, only a few.
Thats what im talking about. I have stored like only about 20-30 croa corpses, total. And yet im getting 30+ spectral croas from em.. ridiculous.
LMAO
If this is true, it's quite an accomplishment. All those spectral croa will at least generate lots of ectoplasm for potions and wands.
Stop killing the croa. Move all of their bodies next to the fog to be consumed the next time the fog moves. Or do the thing with the midden jelly.
Devs, i dunno what you doing but please put a limit on how many dangers we need to face at night. Maximum 1 fog encarnation and 1 breahtstealer. At most. Thats enough. More than that is ridiculous and i cant imagine people playing on higher difficulties how they do it. This is supossed to be a RELAXED game for god's sake, sigh.
Also i cant believe that at this point we still dont have a way to get rid of excess materials. Its ridiculous. Every frikkin management game has some sort of station to downgrade or upgrade materials so we can get rid of them. This game needs something like that asap and something that should be in the game since almost alpha stage.
At least make it so we only get one spectral croa for every 5 croa corpses or so. I keep avoiding hunting croas and my number of spectral croas keep rising for no reason. Tired of it.
