next or the real answer... remove foundations along the necessary spots for wild plants to grow.
try to build up more than building out. =( you can still build outward but note the first answer as your new starting point.
You can also make all Libations using spices you can craft in the Gruel Pot from farmed ingredients. The recipes that use seeds were designed specifically to let you use up excess seeds.
Just restart another run and this time leave some places near your school without foundations so things can grow. Anyways the game has become so "complicated" that you will need to build a huge school nevertheless and you will need to expand way further away from your initial spot.
If you have all the planters you need, then you don't need seeds. All libations can be made without seeds.
So this is only a problem if you have built up your school and didn't save enough seeds for your greenhouse. Which shouldn't be something that happens often - maybe once or twice per school, at most.
--- This isn't correct my libation fountain requires beast "spices" like cinnimint, which requires seeds. Seeds are only dropped when the grounds are harvested. Like the earth on L1 is harvested. The planters do not ever drop seeds unless you deconstruct them.
I agree slightly that greenhouses should spawn a smaller or lower rate of seeds just to keep up with this passively - I don't play on hard difficulty but I can't imagine NEEDING that rec room buff. It would turn the game in to constant harvesting at L1 spam...
Take a look at the recipes in the Gruel Pot. You can make all of the spices in the Gruel Pot using only farmable plant parts, no seeds. The recipes in the refining beasts are to give you something to do with extra seeds.
It is correct.
Please look at the research "Cooking with Spice" (2nd tier of the fire/cooking tree).
You can make the libations without having seeds. This is just a way to use-up all the seeds that used to just accumulate and make the map messy.
