How does son/moon light works for plants?
I'm seeing that some plants say that they require light to grow and when they are below an elevated floor they say the plants are on shade. How does that work and what is considered to be on sun/moon light? Does plant growth stop completely without light or is it just slowed down? If the plants are in a room with a glass ceiling, is it considered to be exposed to sun/moon light? And what about windows? Does a room have windows gives plants enough light?

You can click on a plant to see how much light it is getting and how fast it is growing. The glass roof allows 100% of natural light if it is not obstructed. An overhang or partial roof that is not glass will give a "shaded" debuff. A fully enclosed room will only have light from windows or light sources; windows let in a proportion of natural light, depending on their size (the description of the window will specify). I think the only non-window light source that is relevant to plants is the Mana lantern, which provides moonlight; IIRC, everything else provides firelight, which doesn't help plants. If you turn on the Light overlay and hover over a room, you can see what kind and amount of light there is in the room.

Thanks. But how much sunlight does the plants need? Checking the windows information, I can see they provide an amount of sunlight (small window is 125, for example), but how much sunlight do plants need to get the maximum amount of growth while indoors? How do I know how many windows do I need to put?

Different plants have different requirements, but typically, they need either 100% sunlight or 100% moonlight to grow at the maximum rate. The amount of light required to get to 100% depends on the size of the room, so I can't tell you how many windows or lanterns you will need; you will have to look at the stats for the room you are trying to grow things in, and see how much more light you need to add.

I didn't even notice that I could see how much light a room needs to be fully illuminated. thank you
