Spectral Rifts & Breath Stealers
Hi,

Why am I now getting 3 Spectral Rifts or 2 Breath Stealers at the same time?

Is this new? Sorry but 3 Spectral Rifts opening all at once is too much.

the stronger you get the bigger the disasters get as well
I think I got my first 3x spectral rift after my first mage reached lvl 18

you could click through the spectral rifts and see if one only spawns a torch snuffer, in which case you can kinda just ignore that rift and focus on the others as a torch snuffer doesnt really do anything and disappears after less then a day

for the breath stealers the only counter I found is that they only spawn at the unexplored underground fog, so the deeper you explore the underground the deeper they spawn, the more time you have to defeat them

Having broom stations around the school helps with breathstealers. Send the target mage to one end of the school, and while the snail is crawling after them, the target can fly to the other side. Gives you a lot of time for kiting, but it is micro.

The game has zero balance. Keep that in mind, its a pure mess in that sense.

i mean considering in the other thread a few days ago, you told people they are wrong about building the hermitage with stairs due to the isolated keyword (which was actually removed a long while ago), I dont think you are really in a position to speak on the current state of the game^^
it feels like you havent played the game since it first released into early access

I was surprised by this as well. :mortis:
The spectral rifts are fine, but the two breath-stealers can be brutal. If it's an apprentice that is marked, I just wave my hand while saying: "Farewell, my dear pupil.". :frosted:

Thankfully patch recently stopped that

what was stopped? if you mean getting 2 breath stealers at the same time, for me this still happens

the issue was 2 of whichever event back to back within the same day.
now any problem event is spaced out by a day.
there should be a setting for disabling breathstealer altogether though...
i might have misread if there was a setting to disable doubles (period, of any and all doubles)

I just had 2 breath stealers at the same time too. There was nothing I could do. 6 people went down in seconds. Maybe if I paused and played perfectly I could have topped them, but that's a big ask. I've now turned them off. 1 is fine, it's dangerous, but manageable, 2 is too much. If they RNG to anyone hunting them after the first kill, it's over.

And the chain reaction that happened after was... terrible. Mourning is too much of a debuff.

Of course i played, what has to do the hermitage thing with anything at all? do you know you can play without actually building it, right? i didnt even pay attention last time i tried the game for the last updates if the isolated keyroom was removed or not. I didnt bother. I just saw that the peaceful experience i wanted from this game months ago has been completely destroyed with a lot of nonsense. Many aspects that affect conviction are completely dumb and overwheelming. And btw the game is still in early access, and at this rate is going to be forever lol.
