Cheats / Codes / Workarounds ???
Hello, just wondering if there will be cheats or codes implemented in the game?

Some things I'd like to see include: instant demolish of objects, Status and Convictions instantly refilled, research automatically completed, teleportation of characters, instant build, ability to level up relics or instantly pulverise for shards, and my fav is to reveal all the underschool at once.

The reason I think cheats improve a game is that sometimes you just want to see what happens when you do a thing, and with Mind Over Magic things take a lot of time and preparation to do - it has taken me a really long time to get a jade dragon, and growing it up has been a real pain, I'm missing vital ingredience which should be easily obtainable but for some reason or another I'm fresh out... perhaps because the ingrediance are needed in too many recipes.

Cooking seems really unbalanced atm, I'd love a way to not have to worry about keeping everyone happy (even on easiest difficulty my teachers have started to starve to death and I can't revive as I've run out of wyrmweed). I have a tonne of voidcap and mandrake though...

Adding resources would be a handy cheat to have in case of an emergency... OR we need a way to convert one resource into another similar to the lavalina sty; but say I have 3000 voidcap and really need more honeydrop... If rescouces could be broken down into essence and re-animated as something else at a cost that'd be great... or just add a cheat to get whatever resource you want.

Anyone have other suggestion for cheats that could improve gameplay?

I'll try not to question how you're out of wyrmweed when it can be in a planter or can keep enough open ground space closest to the center of school for it to respawn (among gut berries, ice flowers, phoenix plants, and smokereed).

Having bitterrice plots should've been an asap thing to solve hungerbas the meals are cheap/fast to make. gut berries are last line of defense too against hunger not even needing to be cooked (the worst but better than starving).

Researching via a high level lightning and a "mage tower" room will give very fast researching even with "just" a rank 2 wand student upgraded to staff member... Eventually making an apprentice version.

Pay attention to the speed boosts certain rooms provide, even on easiest difficulty... Those are important to have things not drag out.

I guess relics are the worst for inpatient people because need to maximize trials and do the apprenticeship routes... Not all trials are reasonable like the group learner bronse (easy) trial or a solo battler gold (mid high difficulty).
It's "easy" to have 6 students but that's definitely NOT what should be in a school and apprentices don't use the basic teaching stone so they don't "contribute" towards that trial... Unless a retardly large room with every advanced station plus basic teaching.
A shattered absolutely cannot do a solo battle trial. One must bring a haste potion and the two dmging potions... and be a dark/earth/nature apprentice as to enable the aoe attacks... And give it enough speed and power (or tons of HP) relics to act soon enough and hit hard enough (or hope to last).

Edit: I added my own venting after the initial advice. Oops

If there isn't a debug menu or something I am unclear on that already in game, but Imma have second everything written above.

You should not run out of wyrmweed, generally, it should be spawning to your annoyance around the start area. Research the planter for it and at least in my experience for easy/normal play two to three planters is generally sufficient to keep you overflowing unless you really are just using a metric crapton. Make sure your mages/apprentices/initiates are tending your crops if you do not already, this will make em grow much faster.

Greenhouses are absolutely something you should be building for planter based plants. I build my greenhouses in a tower that's far out enough to protect my 'have to be outside' plants like bitterrice and the rest from croa. You can stack em' like normal, just have like a space between the floor of the above greenhouse the roof below and it will still work. I generally only need like three, but you could build six plots of bitterrice. It grows quickly and isnt crazy expensive to build.

if you're having issue with conviction and happiness on easy, you really really need to be building the better quality rooms for sleeping and eating for your staff and students. Recreation time is an absolute necessity. You can then feed your school with the lower quality food recipes with minimal issue for a good long while.

That all being said, it would nice in game if we had a mechanism to get rid of excess resources in a useful manner, even if it's at some crazy ratio to do so. We are wizards or whatever after all lol. Maybe I dont need 4000 gutberries but I sure that have many a lot of the time lol. I don't even want this a cheat, though that would also be nice, I just want this for real lol. Let us Alchemy the shizz outta everything!

Also, that all being said, from another thread about debug option in game:

Originally posted by Sparky-Jason:
We'll include a more polished version but there are debug tools available and you are of course welcome to play with the game however you'd like. There are 2 methods for enabling debug mode.

To access Debug hotkeys, including access to the Debug panel (normally ~ key), you need to do the following.

- We look for a file called mom_debug_enabled (or mom_debug_enabled.txt) next to the exe. This will enable debug on launch.
- You can also toggle the flag (for that session) in the Settings screen by typing 'toggledebug'.

You'll know if debug is enabled if there is a -D after your version in game.

Just be aware that some of the debug tools can do some odd things to your game and are more intended for development. Probably the most useful are the Research tab and the Sim tab (particularly Instant Build or No Resources Required).

Hope that helps!

oh and if there's an issue with happiness, just build a commons room.
while staff members don't benefit from boosts, they at least don't get penalties while students stay maxed.

you can use CE and get what you want like all relics will be level 25, like increase the health and mana for your mage, resources increase.......
