Problems with Moonlight?
Hello!

I am having a problem with my one mage. No matter where I put them, how many mana lanterns, skylit, etc. They constantly have the whole "begging for moonlight." Does anyone else experience this? If so, were you able to solve it? How so?

Thanks!

I havent had that issue, but generally I have/use windows in every room for light, I would think that that would take care of it?

This is a change to dark mages. Each of the mages have a new need. And for Dark mages they will have a need to stand outside in the moonlight at night. The easy solution to this is to change the mages schedule to do most of their tasks during the night instead of the day. And spend the daytime sleeping.

Every once in a while you might find them standing around outside which is fine. They are just refilling that moonlight need bar.

One important thing to note is that Moonlight does not refill while the mage is asleep. So sleeping in a room with windows at night won't work on its own.

If I remember correctly with a Dark Mage, sleeping directly under the window (so in actual moon-rays) it refilled quite properly. But it might have been something happened before, I'm quite not sure, but it certainly looked that way!

The best solution is really a different schedule for dark mages.

Moonlight refills at night, even if they sleep in a room with windows or a glass roof.
BUT it depletes during the day. So the dark mages need to sleep during the day so their moonlight need doesn't deplete too much.
I haven't had any issues with my Dark mages and I haven't put any of them on a night shift schedule. My normal schedule does have them up until 11 though, but I would think that wouldn't be quite enough.

I have a ton of mana lanterns though, Including one right next to the quilting station and one next to the learning stones where students spend a lot of time. Perhaps that's doing the trick.

I don't think my necromancer has been having any trouble, with only one passageway mana lantern in the whole school and a regular day schedule.

That's only a L2 dark wand, not L3, fwiw. I don't know if L3 is more sensitive or just bigger modifiers.

The difference between a T2 wand and a T3 wand is the size of the need bar. In the case of a T2 wand the Moonlight need is a 48 hour bar, for a T3 wand it's a 24 hour bar. It decays twice as fast too.

I just followed a Dark mage around for a full day watching the bar and in my case the reason that all my Dark mages are super happy is all the mana lanterns. Every time they walk past one it refills it for a bit and when they are working right next to one it refills quite a bit relatively quickly.
