Anyone fought a breathstealer?
I just killed one but it was really close I think. It died at the last second, and the mage it targeted was lifted into the air (which I guess is the breath stealing animation). After a few seconds the mage returned to the ground and was unharmed.. but damn, that thing took a really long time to kill. I sent a 4 fire and a 2 fire (the best I had at the time) immediately after it right when it spawned, and tried to manually move the targeted mage around to avoid it (which is apparently really problematic).

Is there an easy way to deal with these?

They’re so annoying. I send the target to the farthest edge towards the fog to chop down a tree and then manually send all teachers and apprentices to attack it. Its even worst when it happens at night and I have to wake the entire school.

I recently had to deal with a breathstealer. It didn't take long for my staff and apprentices to cut it down, considering I had a human fire mage with level 7 fire skill helping to hunt it. I don't know of any 'easy' way of dealing with it. I just deal with it the same way I deal with a fog incarnation.

Just send the target far awy. Don't let them participate in th hunt

I hated them at first! I still think they're annoying, but my crew is now able to deal with them before they get close. I started with sending the marked mage as far away as the fog allows (just like others above), but that is a dead end and I wanted a surefire way of dealing with those snail buggers. Maybe it helps someone: I have build circuit in my academy with spiral stairs on each side and somewhat long hallways with hallway runners at the top and bottom. There's one of those recreation devices in each corner of the academy in a lockable room, so I can have the chased mage go from device to device in a circle while the rest hunt those pests. That being said, by now they rarely even get out of the cellar anymore. 😋

High level fire mages. Piece of cake. Exactly the same with fog incarnations.

You can cross the monster on same path taking (select char, ask him to get a ressource on a certain spot and make him move this way to an other) in count his speed, and avoid contact with target. So really easy to handle ;) ....i hope devs dont reads this =D and if they do, maybe this could be a reason to change some aspects of this slug.

I set Hunt task priority for everyone to max by default, so when one of those snails appear, I just set their hunt task to max, while turning hunt task priority to "never" for the one mage they are after. Those snails live for about a minute after that XD

But yeah, they are annoying as he11. Probably worst addition to the game as of yet.
