Mind Over Magic

Mages unable/refuse to use the Dragon Wok
I have recently unlocked the Dragon Wok. And at first it all looked fine, my mages with high prioriy to cooking were able to grab materials and cook the recipes just fine.

However, after no exact reason, mages started ignoring the Wok altogether. To the point that even when I had set a mage to Critical Priority to Cook, it ignored the priority of the task and kept minding their own business.
To give context, I had put the Wok where my Gruel had been and put the latter just outside of the kitchen, then after I crafted some more spice racks to turn my Kitchen into a Fine Kitchen, I moved the Gruel back since I did not have all the materials to create a fine kitchen at that moment.
Before I moved back the Gruel and built additional racks, it was working just fine. After that it went full stop. Even after I created a whole new kitchen from the ground up and put the Wok there, it still gets ignored.
At the same time, the Gruel only gets worked when it is set on Critical priority, anything lower than that it gets ignored as well.

Any ideas why? Should I report this as a bug somewhere?

What happens when you click on a mage (must be staff member with at least level 3 fire skill), and give them a direct order to use the wok?

If they go and cook, it's probably an issue with your priority settings (both the mage task priority and the priority settings on the object itself affect what order tasks get done in).

If you can't order them to use it: The recipes at the wok all require a minimum of level 3 Fire skill, so make sure you have at least one staff member who meets that minimum. Check that you have all the required ingredients for the recipes you want to cook. Double-check the priority setting on the wok itself, to make sure you haven't accidentally disabled it. Finally, check to make sure they can path to it.

Thanks for your reply, it looks like it was due to the staff assigned to the Wok having level 2 Fire instead of 3. Also, when building a Wok, it seems that the minimum requirement for recipes in the Gruel also raises to 3, and since I had two mages with that level and one of them died, the remaining staff depended on this single person to cook, which was not enough.
I ended up abandoning that save file due to other reasons along the wierd behavior in this case, but I will pay attention in case it happens again, some aspects of it looked like a bug.
