Student Races not random?

I played around a bit with save scumming to see if i could change the students race upon summoning them.

If i load while the ritual is underway i always got the same student (same name)
When i tryed loading and canceling the ritual then trying it again, i got a studen with the same race but a different name and trials.

I tested that with a level 3 Earth Wand and the "Gifted" student Summon.
And i always got one of these "Vivified" people (the ones that look like walking Potato sacks)

Anyone else got a guess what could determine the Race of the summoned student?

I tested this too, and it does seem like the race is predetermined and you can't change it. If you don't like the race of the next student, you can summon a level 1 student as the bad race and either fast track them to graduation or expel them.

yeah, i tested this now too.
it seems like there is a predetermind Order of Races, no matter what i did the races for the next 5 students i made were always 1 Vivfied - 1 shattered - 2 humans - 1 Wolfkin in that order.

Its important to notte though that while you cant change the race of the student, you can however have a different student of the same race with other trials by canceling and restarting the ritual after loading. there are a few different Student in the same Race and you can pick the one with the best trials suited for you at the time with this.

I can't believe I never noticed it. I just tested out mine as well. In mine it's Wolf, shattered, human, raven, and vivified. I actually really like that it's not completely random.

Further tested, each wand tier has their own race pattern.

I would like to point out that some races didnt spawn for me untill after i did research or progress the dungeons. An example being raven, I didnt get one untill after I found the burrower and had also graduated over 20 students by then.

Ravens appeared for me as soon as I made my first level 2 wand (I rushed for earth wand) and I was nowhere near 20 students or found burrower, so my guess is it involves research level

Cant say about the student limit. but i was nowhere near the burrower when i had my first raven student, i did however had unlocked Wands level 2 like Swiftdoll mentioned, so it might have something to do with this.
