Putting plants inside rooms under a roof
Has anyone tried putting plants inside a room under a roof? I was wondering if anyone has tested out to see if you put enough windows if there would be enough light for them to grow.

I tried putting planters inside and they will grow during the day with windows.

plant inside room actually grow faster. The more windows you put, the faster the bonus is. I have my arboretum with 300% growth from the windows.

Many people put plants inside rooms. I do that sometimes when i get tired of croas destroying my plantations or spectral croas breaking everything. Problem is, you need space, a lot of it to put plants inside rooms.

Thanks! I actually tried this after I posted my question, the bonus is nice from all the windows.

You can. You can even build special room with Mana Lanterns, that gives "moon" type of light. Night plants will grow 24 hours in such rooms, instead of just during night hours.

I only did this because I wanted to plant some trap vines and I was worried about people getting snared. So I made a room with a door and barred access except from my shattered gardener as well quilted helpers and ghostie. Works really well. I only realised plants grow better indoors after I'd built it.

Here's a question: what's the ideal greenhouse in terms of size/proportions? More windows is more light, but a bigger room reduces the light, so I'm not sure if it's better to go big or small. I've been using the 2x2 round windows because that's what worked out for the room I'd built, but the highest light per area seems to be the 1x5 large window.
