From the tutorial "It is often necessary to seal mages inside these difficult-to-build rooms".

Just not worth the micro for the production boost in my opinion (you'd have to get the guy into the room then wall him in). You can't even put beds etc. in there for them as it will break the room conditions (you could let them sleep on the floor I guess).

The game kinda needs teleporters/secret entrances (that don't count as an entrance) with a room condition like this.

Wall in a wolfkin, they don't mind sleeping on the floor. have a chest/pantry filled with food in there first.

As said, you have to wall them in (with some food if you want to keep them there for a while). Use a hallway arch (no resource cost) to let them in. Once they're in, delete the arch. Keep an eye on them, and when they need to be let out, replace the arch and direct-order them to build it. Make sure they have a mana lantern inside so they can refill their mana.

Never tried to build this room before and now i had. God what a choredom. The main problem of this dummy design is that you cant put beds or food sources inside to start with. So you have to restock over and over again and for that you need to make an entrance, then destroy it, restock, build entrance, repeat, etc, etc.. who was the dev who designed this?. Mage tower more than enough, mage's hermitage is not worty at all that room should directly be erased from the game.

At least wolves don't care about lack of beds...

Good motivation for keeping storage organized, in this case for moving a lot of food without a micromanaging nightmare. As opposed to only having general storage that has everything mixed up in smaller quantities.

Wall in your founding ghost guy. He never eats or sleeps or has any mood debuffs. Thats what I assumed it was for anyway.

Simple and brilliant.

Terrible idea. The ghost's stats are so miserable (level 1 lightning) that it completely negates the 300% research speed buff. You would be better off using a mage with a Tier 1 lightning wand on a bench in an ordinary school room, even with time off to eat/sleep/recreate.

Simple and brillliant?? lmao. I would like to see the ghost mage to research the latests branchs. Sure, if you dont mind waiting one month to research anything. .. its up to you.

Also you missed the whole purpose of that room... if you are not going to put your best lightning mage there, why bother??

yup.. simple and brilliant... hahaha.

Just put him there and let him do his thing; done deal. Even with the speed bonus provided by the room, he'll be among the slowest options among mages, but he wont provide any concerns at all, that demands any attention, freeing up my game to do everything else uninterrupted. Furthermore, he wont have sleep, eat or entertainment breaks like everyone else that you could lock up in a room.
Besides, and like everyting else I've typed; just in my opinion, the whole research tree goes way to fast in this game, which is the only reason I've ever bothered building this room in one playthrough.

Honestly, I feel the speed buff in a way negates the downside to using the ghost in that room. He becomes useless for just about any task later on, might as well get him inthere without a care in the world and build a mage's study/tower for your mage with high lightning to do additional research.

And again, learn how to play, and when you do you will realize why putting your ghost mage there is a complete waste of time, room design, and research. That "idea" wasnt brilliant and simple, that idea was awful, but as always there needs to be always some patronizing kid saying nonsense in every single forum. Do you realize everybody already knew they could do that, but they didnt for obvious reasons, right?

I build mage's hermitage to research at maximum speed, not to put the ghost mage in there... lol.
Just came home from en evening looking after the grandchildren to read that I'm a patronizing kid, mostly for having an opinion you don't agree with.
That actually made me giggle. Bye bye.

Yep, works well with an extra, if needed.

It seemed to work pretty good in my game. I maxed out the research before I even had all my staff replaced with t3 wands weilders.
Not sure why the hate about the idea though, you can always have more than one mage researching, walling in the founder just seems like less hassle than trying to put a mage that has needs in there.

Because we can only have one mage researching at a time.....
