How do you make a bedroom?

For the love of me i cant figure it out. I want to make a dormitory for my students, and a bedroom for my staff. I made the dormitory but apparently the requirements for the bedroom are basically the same, so the game always gives me a dormitory instead of a bedroom. How you guys do it? or is this a known bug?

click F1, and hover on the room . Should tell you what is missing. I think it needs to be private: a single entrance, not in the middle of the school, with several in/out. Either works for me with higher room in the main tower, to reach with stair, or side room with a door, with proper luxury or furniture.

what do you need it for? you have the dormitory with 2 beds and only 5 staff conviction wich is not worth it or the fancy bed or canopy for the last tier room.
It easy, build a big flat platform on top on your castle, build a 2-3 height support and make another floor, the 15 conviction rooms are easier because of luxury requirement and dont need a door so you can even ladders to go into the room.
The next tier needs the door so the width of the room has to be at least 4 because the bed is bigger(3), i didnt unlock the canopy bed yet.
After that it's 3 windows, luxury from pedestals and thats it

This was the problem, i already figured it out after i posted, but yup.I thought that the bedroom could allow more than two beds... so i was putting five for all my staff and that was the problem. You can only put two beds max to make a bedroom. Thats a shame, i wanted to save space... now lets go filling all my construction spots with bedrooms. Great. And they need to be private... what a chore lol.

Im not interested in the higher tier rooms like the bed chamber.

You will be interested in it as you progress. Once you get stronger mages, they get a conviction debuff called "Volitile". Automatic -25. You'll need the better rooms to keep them from going crazy. Plan for the better rooms early.

Yeah, I've got bedrooms and the research for the canopy beds and I'm planning out spaces for Private Chambers. I don't have any Tier 3 wands unlocked, I made the mistake of not doing any Tier 1 wands for a while and now I'm out of Adept scrolls and don't have resources for enough Ash parchment yet to Scrive the scrolls. But we'll get there. That and a bunch of dungeon expeditions. I could use the ghosts anyway.
